The best war strategy: Hogs! But not just any deployment style

How do you get the hogs deployed in so many different spots so fast?? Are you using all 10 fingers?

I joined enraged eight to test this strategy and they were surprised with my attack as I 3ed every one of their bases. I admit some were a bit tricky especially the spring bases, but they still went down, hats off to some their great warbases though, that clan took my fishhog skills to the next level.
Plus like I said most spring bases are easy dragloon, those 2 screenshots are easy dragloon zapquake. Balloons path straight to them Ads. Also if I see a base like that, I won't waste my dark on something that can be easily draglooned. A smart attacker won't just fishhog a base that has air defenses just out there for the taking

Nope, I'm going to have to disagree with you. Mass hogs are likely the most consistent way to 3* at TH8. Once you get this/surgical attack strategy down, you will be well in excess of 90% 3* any/all max TH8 war bases. And I'm using 90% in an effort to be overly conservative

And I'd love to see a base that it doesn't work on, as you comment above



I think I found your problem, as well as a misconception.

You definitely have to think/plan for this attack/surgical to work best & you most definitely do adapt to each layout.

You also seem to be hung up on the attack morphing from fish/surgical to some other form of hog attack, but that's just silly; some adjustments tailored to the base is precisely what you want. Just because you might group hogs together at a certain point doesn't change it too much.

If you intention is to draw a delineation between fish and sirurgical, I suppose there might be. I'm technically a, "surgical" hog attacker, not necessarily a, "fish" hog attacker, but they strike me as similar. I roll my hogs around the base, fish gets them on the board very quickly. The end result, however, is very close...

My intention was never to draw a delineation between fish and surgical. I pointed that according with the description of the strategy, you never change the army composition or the way you deploy your troops (allways groups of 3 hogs, starting from two corners, and so on). The only things that changes in each attack are the timing and location of healing spells (again, according with the strategy description present on this thread).
That is why I said that if you change the army composition or the style of deployment you will be using a different attack and not fishing hog.
By the way, i already posted the picture of a very sloppy layout that defends fishing hog (following precisely the instructions given by this thread) very well.

Not really.

Don't worry Lunatic I already joined his clan and attacked the base he said it was hard to fishhog, on the first try I 3ed it and we tested it over and over and 3ed it everytime. I demonstrated to him the correct way to fishhog. All is settled, the misunderstanding was cleared.

Nice war strategy.....immersive 3star but still need some improvements
