The problem is having people who don't know how to play , opening threads like this.
It's amazing how people spend so much time complaining, rather than finding a good base to defend with.
The heck, you don't even have to use your brain that much, only a bit to find a good base a copy.
The difference between dragon at th7 and hogs at th8, is that no matter how good your base is , at th7 you can't defend against mass dragons even if the opponent is a bad attacker.
With dragons lvl 2 I used to smash th8 in war all the times.
Mass hogs instead at th8 are not an option against a well crafted base, even more so on the first attack.
So yes hogs are very powerful, but you still need some good skill (particularly if that's not your second account) to make it.
As far as I can see , most players in good clans don't even use mass hogs any more, but rather gohogs even at TH8 lvl.

No need to delegitimization a poster just because you do not agree.
+1 OP. It could help to make TH8 a bit more balanced without a troop nerfing.
That might cause to not use hogs in th8. Place your dgb's deeper to your base so it is hard to trigger them unless if you're attacker knows how to use GoHo.

The reason its so easy to hog at th8 is that 95% of people there dont try to make a tough base. They just make some symmetrical base with ADs in a triangle...or they find a base off the internet.
th8s know they are gonna be tripled every war so they dont even try to find ways to defend. If all your th8s came up with unique bases then it might take multiple attempts to beat them.
