    Need a 4th giant bomb at TH8

    TH6-7 got an extra AD to try and add a bit of a damper to the mass drag spams that plague those areas in war. I really think that TH8 now needs a 4th gb to add more difficulty there. Most any experienced TH8 can 3* any other TH8 once the piggies and heals are maxed running Hogo or pure hog. I know there are other sure fire 3* for TH8 as well (I typically get 6* per war with GoWiPe on my th8 mini as hogs are boring anymore, others use mass drags with zap/EQ) but I feel as though TH8 would really become more exciting in war with the added bomb.

    Extra gb would also help counter the popular new valk spam attacks that are even popular in TH8 land.

    Thoughts?

    Na, 4 single bombs plus 3 heals with lvl 4 hogs would be too tough. 2 doubles would be impossible.

    Interesting idea, but it's not needed. You can still defend against hogs with well placed dbgs. Hogs also aren't as overpowered as dragons were at th7 either...if your base has one well placed dbg, the attacker can't just drop hogs randomly or in one spot like drags were at th7 before extra AD.

    Make multiple possible spots for DGBs; a few fakes a one real one. You can strategically place defensive buildings to funnel the hogs towards your DGBs in such a fashion that both bombs will trigger at the same time, negating any heal already dropped there. In fact, in my designs, I have 2 routes leading to 2 possible DGBs. If the hogger chooses the path with the 'fake' one, the defenses are placed to still funnel them towards the real DGB.

    Oh and btw, my 'fake' DGB spot has 1 Giant bomb and 4 small bombs. It wont kill them unless he fails to put heal If he does heal through them, then it has forced his hand to use a heal preemptively.

    I would tend to disagree. If your base is all cluttered together with no open space for bombs or traps then yeah you'll be easily 3 starred by hogs. But if you actually leave some space for traps within your base then an automatic 3 star isn't possible and takes a little skill. Then throwing in a DGB on top of that makes it a lot more difficult to attack. Seriously try it yourself. Go use a mass hog attack on a base more spread out and see how it works. You'll probably have a difficulty 3 starring.

    Despite all the talk about hogs at 8 and despite my own experiences, the vast majority of hoggings at 8 are still what you call failures....this would be another case of raising the bar for the top leaving most of the normals to go underwater.
