Idea to mitigate ♥♥♥♥ - Make it impossible for someone to attack two townhalls higher
Hi, I love playing Clash of Clans, and I love playing clan wars, as it puts our teamwork and individual skills to the test.
However what upsets me is that there are clans (about 10% of them, if I may estimate) that uses mods to 'scout' beforehand, and that changes the outcome of the war.
I would like to propose the following solution. Why not we make it impossible for someone to attack two townhalls higher in war?
Pros:
1. If clans want to continue to use ♥♥♥♥, they will need to use TH10 to 'scout' for TH11. While we still can't stop them from scouting, at least the price to pay is higher (as compared to using TH8s to scout) and hopefully that will deter some clans from using ♥♥♥♥.
2. The impact to the current strategy for clan wars is minimal. Sensibly, no TH8 would attack a TH10 and no TH9 would attack a TH11. Why would they?
Cons:
1. This method is still not a fool-proof solution. E.g. for clans that only have TH10 and TH11s, they can still continue using ♥♥♥♥. This method only works for clans with a relative even distribution of TH8s to TH11s.
2. Some clans might try to outsmart the system by prematurely rushing their 'scouting accounts' to TH10.
That would remove the strategy of legitimate scouting, which is perfectly fair. Could you think of a solution that Leinster bunnies, but not this method as well?
