There is a very set reason why the Mist spell just brings range down to 1 or 2 :

  • It is dependent on the troops , not defenses. So at level , archers won't get cloaked , but at Level 2 they will. At level 3 , even Valks can enjoy the mist.
  • Decreasing range can bring some ranges into negative. Also the Mist is built for general use , not for a specific defense.
  • Realistically speaking , with every passing level the mist gets thicker so it directly decreases range. Just imagine standing in different concentrations of mist.


And if you think Mist will drive Freeze into extinction , :
  • I know they are similar ( it's coz they are forms of water !! Joking ! ) .
  • Freeze is a perfect spell for melee troops like P.E.K.K.A. , Golem , BK , Barbarians, Balloons , etc... While Mist is not.
