They do seem to be matching me against roughly similar compositions. It is taking me 5 hours or more to find a match, and I generally match against other engineered clans, or clans full of children.
it is much more fun, obviously, to beat an engineered clan at their own game. I am hoping it will happen more as engineering is growing!

For those wondering, he ACTUALLY runs into other engineered clans quite a lot. Myself I was pretty skeptical and thought he was exagerating but it's actually true
2 matches ago against some Russian clan, clearly mostly one man clan by village names.
Several 60-59/58 scores earlier which makes me believe those were like that too. Mostly Asian/Arab clan names.
And current war against an undefeated Chinese war clan where all villages are called China1, China2, ...
It's tough!

Post update our war searchtimes are horrid... 6 hours on average - 15 hours last night... we still get the same type of clans that we faught before the update - actually many of them are much easier to kill than they were before the update -- just proves that our understanding of how match making works - is spot on.. and our engineering is working great.
This game is all about bullying... picking on the weak; when you go farming --- do you attack people 2 town halls higher? I doubt it.. not if you want to get a good profit and some stars... ♥♥♥♥. Since day one I have always been attacked by players 1 or 2 town halls above -- with heroes 20 to 30 levels higher than mine - thats just how the game works... the big pick on the little... the strong prey on the weak...
I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess-- that if / when you see a defenseless base with a few million in loot sitting there all nice and easy... I'm going to wager that you dont say -- NAAHh... I dont want to pick on that weak player.. I'll click NEXT and not take all that nice easy money...
Heck no! you're going to drop 5 archers and get all that money... and i bet you'll be sharing that replay with your friends laughing at how easy that money was to get...
Defenseless accounts -- are very challenging to build; especially now when its hard to earn a shield... and you must spend long hard hours farming non stop for your upgrade - because the moment you log out you will get hit over and over until you have absolutely zero gold and elixer remaining - because you will never get a shield...
Eventually - at town hall 9, with two royals and a (full) 30 slot castle - you will get shields; but you will still loose 100% every time...
Players who engineer accounts - want to win ... they dont want to loose -- they dont want to risk hard wars... they want extra chances to insure that they -- win...
The game is all about winning; for many of us... I'm an adult with a job- house - kids - pets and etc etc... the time I spend in game - would feel like a big giant waste of time if I invested all that effort and then LOST the war... omg.. heck no... I'm engineered 100% to win... I have no desire to play a game that I'm going to loose... Maybe one loss every 90 to 120 days is fine... but every other war -- I want to slaughter them... and the loss? -- it will be a tie or by 1 star...

Oddly enough our long searches are resulting in better matches for us...at least in the 3 searches I've let go longer than 30 minutes as a test. Although not absurd it's our max 11 and 3 10s vs 5 10s at the top. Everything else is rather equal. It's possible our engineered bases are the cause...or perhaps we've been lucky not to face a clan with 4 max 11s. I'm certainly enjoying not having to babysit the war search for hours and hours. I stand by the belief that most clans should limit search times...at least until I'm confident our clan comp is actually mismatching our opponents when we let the search go long.
And for a better point of reference...our top is usually matched perfectly. Actually all the way down through our 9s we are perfectly matched nearly every war.
This thread makes me happy. I love seeing diversity in the clan war world.

I seriously wonder how good of a parent someone with an excessive gaming addiction can be lol After all, there are only so many hours in a day and if someone spends that many on running 20-30 accounts in a video game, there can't be that much time left for real life, not to mention that it probably isn't great for the kids' developments either if daddy is always busy with games. If gaming takes that kind of control over someone's life quite frankly that person has already lost regardless of what the in-game score is and how long his winning streak is.
