First, allow me to preface this post by saying that I love the game and its potential for dynamic attack/defense strategies.

HOWEVER

As leader of a clan that wars frequently, I'm getting a little fed up with the LACK of said attacks/defense strategies. My clan plans out attacks quite well and we use all the troops for their intended purpose. But no matter what, I wake up in the morning to our bases demolished by nothing but mass dragon attacks. I like(d) watching replays to learn new strategies and find weaknesses in our bases, but once I see 10 level 3 dragons, and a King, I just skip over it.
I know this topic has already been discussed plenty of times and the arguments are that it "takes a lot of time and elixer" to make, etc etc. But seriously, it's not all that difficult to let the barracks cook while you have school or work to do, and TH7s and 8s have so many buildings that require gold to upgrade that there is an overabundance of elixer in the storage.
The latest release note state, and I quote: "One of the Clash of Clans development values is Depth. This means that it should take well-thought armies, strategic deployment and mastery of troop behavior to achieve the best results. If we find a single troop, single spell army with a single deployment strategy (Earthquake and mass-Witch) semi-reliably 3-starring maxed out defenses, something is out of balance."
SO.... yeah.. dragon attacks..
My suggestion is this: Keep the dragons in. They're awesome and should be really powerful. But make it so that they are a supporting unit. One that compliments the army selection. The way to do that is to make sure that 1- it is not possible to make 10 of them, and/or 2- give our bases a better way to protect against them. I think that it would be best to make them take up more housing space so that you can't have more than 7 or 8 (which I'm hoping we can still defend against), or make the air defense withstand more than 3 lightning spells (or 2 lightnings and an earthquake) so that the dragons don't only need to walk through 2, or make the air traps more effective (seriously, those things tickle the dragons)

Sorry for the long post, but something really does have to be done. I refuse to use all dragon attacks and it just doesn't seem right for that "strategy" to be repeated for every attack on our team.
