One time I bought flags & decoration when I was upgrading to th10. I got them to store more gold/elixir to be able to build 2 infernos at the same time. Then sold all of them once I got to th10 & needed that gold. Be that a flag or a tree it is only useful if got a use in game else it is taking some space on my device

One customizable flag would do just fine
They were a bit more useful when you couldn't drop troops on them...now I just have a torch memorial where my th used to sit.
