(Town hall8)(lvl 5 barbs and archers) I did barching for a while (barbs+archers) it wasn't working very well, so I did just archers 200 at that and I get good loot and about 3 stars each time (silver 2 league farming) hope it helps and in war I use max lvl drags for townhall8 and clan castle dragon so 11 lvl 3 drags and I can get some of the top guys in war!

True Farming = Barbs & Archers. If you hit "next" enough times you'll find good loot. You can add a few gobs to the system if necessary; I do. But Barbs & Archers are more than sufficient to do great farming at any th lvl. stick with the basics.

A bit expensive for a farming army, but very versatile. I can get collectors only using only barch. I can get to storages by adding giant, wizard and minions. And finally to get to even harder well defended DE storage behind 3 walls, I use the spells.
Sometimes, i remove one wizard and add a healer.
I used Giant/Healer at Th8 but I should have been using Barch. 4 wall breakers and the rest 50/50 Barch. It's way easier farming elixer not using giants, and the wall breakers are only in there just in case I can get at a De storage or w/e.

Yo Jack! Trying using 5-9 Loons with your drag attack (2rage 1heal), works well when the Air Defenses are placed well and you don't have to rely on the Drags getting to that last, pesky AD. With some practice, there isn't a Th8 that you can't 3 star.
