As MoonPie said above, I don't think your statement is fair. This is one of those cases where the players should be blamed, not the game or Supercell.

For example, I rarely have sold carrots in this event, but when I put them up in my store, it is for 45 coins. I've definitely been planting more carrots but it's to make carrot juice, carrot pie and to keep my feed mills running (with whatever extras going to the store).

While I agree it's idiotic people are bombarding the DD with over-priced carrots (72 coins despite the reduction in time), it will most likely help Supercell understand how the players play the game. We're so used to blaming Supercell, but this shows us how people think and is most likely the best explanation for why players constantly sell Bacon and Eggs. My theory on Bacon & E:

    - Eggs are fast and easy to produce and if you need space in the barn, it's the easiest thing to dump in your store.
    - Bacon is not used in too many products (B & E, Bacon Pie, Casserole, Shepherds Pie and to feed pets)
    - Greg will buy up any B & E that don't sell (I'd like to think he collects them to donate to charity ).

And now, with the carrot event, we see that perhaps the reason DD used to be flooded with Bacon and Eggs is because of the convenience of making and dumping it, with a guarantee it will be bought eventually.

BTW, has anyone else noticed that SEMs and BEMs have almost been non-existent in the DD since the carrot event? In 14 hours, I only saw one person selling one box of nails... just an observation.

    super usefull event.

I can hold around 1500-2000 carrots (besides other crops).
just earn and plant new ones. fast good exp.

Before I hit 1500 one of my NPC neighbors comes and buys 400-800.
fast exp and fast money. Maybe next time U can choose wheat instead of carrots?

The developers have made some great updates lately with the added fishing game, which a lot of people suggested and they listened, and this new event board.

Try to see the positive in things.

You are correct, however I am stating my opinion from my point of view.

I can't understand why people are even putting them on their stalls! You can produce them so quickly yourself now that it's a total waste of money to buy them...
i do sometimes buy a bit of wheat from new farmers to help them out, but that's different.

Not the best idea, not useful for me. Liked the previous events though.

    Hey everyone,

Thanks for all this feedback, I'm reading every comment and sharing your thoughts with the team. Events are new to Hay Day, so different things will be popping up while we get a feel for what you like and don't like.

    Have a great weekend

I like that one idea someone mentioned about reducing production time for carrot based products as well for such an event. That would be very helpful IMO instead of just offering it on crops.

    Carrot event...not much fun

What has happened to me, the sale on carrots has made selling other items slow way down. I can't even sell wheat at 9.

Also, there isn't much need for extra carrots since they don't take long to grow. To halve the growing time doesn't accomplish much. Also, it's caused a real glut on the market for one item.

    Not a fan, sorry.
