Can't get *anything* in the DD anymore, since the update

Have you ever used one? The DD is outdated. Sure people love to sell.. let the rarity and demand grow the price in an auction setting. You list your items as Auction or Buy. Price it. Done. Then any time of the day all over the world ( you don't have to have gamer thumbs to try and beat a 1000 people for a wood panel) you go to the DD or Auction House and shop, pay what you want, when you want. Not everyone wants to pay to play this game and some play once a day or once a week. So then how in world....are they ever going to expand?! I know..I know....I'm just suggesting a tool, that's out there and been out for over 15yrs in large game settings that has proven itself successful. Instead of a lot of low level people here it would inspire longevity to this game.

Auction House as in a majority of the large MMORPGs It would balance itself and be fair to everyone. I agree with the majority here. It's a broken system. I'm very fast in DD as most people and you only have a very slim chance of getting what your after. If you scan through once the rest is dumb luck. I'm sure someone will want to tell me how great its working for you now but save it please. This game has a mass of players probably from 5yrs to 85yr olds. (Dont reply to tell me about your kid who is younger than 5 or your grandparent who plays please). The fact of the matter is, its incredibly unbalanced and has been since launch. I'd love to hear any opinions a past or present MMO player has experiencing an AH and why or why not it would or wouldn't work. I apologize for my bitter tone but....I just left the DD for the 20th time w 90% garbage. I don't find camping a slow turning ad fun..

I am not sure this would work, as demand growing the price overrides the game's maximum price and that's currently ruled out for the time being. That's what you mean, right? Or is the price one can set within the max price we have now? I'll put the link to the must read sticky from IFR, in case you want to see what I mean.

There already exists two ways to get the tools you need really fast. One method is with diamonds. Need that last plank? Pay 8 diamonds to get it. Now, that's not always possible though with some players, since diamonds are hard to come by. In that case, there are two trading threads here on the forum. One for tools and one for foods. Or you can always ask in your NH and check FB and/or GC friends farms.

The idea of an auction house is one that has been requested by many players for some time now. So far, nothing has been implemented.


Anyways, I just wanted to mention those things.

I don't know what Team Hay Day tweaked in recent update but I have enjoyed shopping in the DD again.

To my delight, I don't need to mine the past few days because I bought all the ores I need. And I was amazed to find different kinds of candies in the DD too.

The DD has slowed down alot now, wheat isn't flying out of the RSS.

Yep, DD is starting to feel more normal again. More wheat in the paper, some goods not flying off the RSS as quickly and have half a chance to buy again.

Guess it really was just a combination of an update spike, bots catching up and that visitor event ate everything. Or possibly a tweak SuperCell tried also that didn't work.

Note to SuperCell, after future updates wait at least a week before doing a visitor event ok?

I'm losing my patience with this game real fast. It's a struggle to even buy eggs sometimes. Finding basic crops has been challenging, other than corn and wheat. SC needs to tweak something real soon, because the fine line between a little bit of a challenge and down right stressfull and frustrating has become too thin for me. It's not right that half of the players have found Utopia with the DD and the others a barren wasteland.

I've been pretty much ignoring the paper as of late. It's just fruitless and a waste of time. My next concern is for the derby- when everyone's shopping frantically to try find the things they need to fulfill their tasks. How is all that going to go down?!

Maybe I should have been a little more clear in my previous post. The items are in the DD, but they have already been purchased. I have camped out at my little mailbox waiting for it to do its happy dance. When it starts, I hurry in a style that would make Superman look twice at me, but I'm still too late. This a.m., when I commented earlier, I was looking for eggs, but they were already purchased or I get that little message-the items have already been purchased. I'm so happy that some of you are loving the DD, but maybe you all are getting first dibs, you never know. Something could be off. I'm just hoping things change soon. One more thing, price is never an issue. If I need it I buy it.
