+1. This game is now extremely popular and needs an API to take it to the next level. This would hugely beneficial to Supercell and it's players. Think of all the 3rd party apps that could be created for the game? It's like free marketing.

They don't have to run another website. The only website/webpages required for this would be documentation for developers so they can integrate the API into their systems and applications. Most companies rely on third-party applications for API libraries which are easy to use and manage for the company (SC) and would be the least of their worries if they created an API for Clash of Clans.
