Is any one else getting double coins on the current visitor event? I am not.
The event is working for me.
The two most common causes (at least, here on the forum) for people reporting that this event isn't working are:
1. Players mistakenly looking at farm visitors but in fact the event is a town visitor event.
2. The town visitors' orders were started before the event began - double coins are only awarded on orders begun after the event is announced.
N.B. the doubled coin amount is shown in pink/purple when you tap on the town customer being served. This amount has already been doubled, i.e. we do not get double the amount shown in pink).
If none of the above is applicable in your case, your best bet is to contact the in-game support team. (Open game, tap on cog icon top left, tap on "help and support", look for the " contact us" button, sometimes you need to open a FAQ topic to see the "contact us" option).

Case 1 above. Thanks. I knew about the pink and purple but didn't notice it in the town.
