What's up with the Do Not Buy farms?

I'm starting to see more and more farms named Do Not Buy or For Trade Only. They're usually selling cheap wheat. I've usually bought their wheat before I even glance at the farm name. Oooops. What are they trying to do?

They are most likely (like 99% sure) bot farms.

I buy my wheat to sell to the visitors and I've seen lots of these farms. Definately bot farms. The paper is full of them again.

I guess I'm just clueless about bot farms, but why would they not want ppl buying from them? I thought the whole reason for them is to sell, but again, I have absolutely no idea how they work. I thought those farms were baby farms and players didn't want items being purchased while making a shuffle of supplies to their main farm.

I don't know, but when I see them I chalk it up to a language problem. They may think they are saying, "please buy this cheap ♥♥♥♥."

That or they are using names they've seen on the boat leaderboard for example and using those names to sound like legit players.

What's the first reaction when you see "do not buy"? You buy it...

Same with the bot farms that say "don't buy last crate". Most people buy it, which then triggers the restocking of all empty or sold slots.

They are simply counting on that human trait of you can't tell me what I can or cannot do...

Totally agree. Seems to work this way with children. Tell them one thing and they are guaranteed to do the opposite!

Maybe it's a message from supercell to say we know it a bot farm and we don't want you to buy from it. So it registers as a don't buy.

    You never know.
