I'm starting to see more and more farms named Do Not Buy or For Trade Only. They're usually selling cheap wheat. I've usually bought their wheat before I even glance at the farm name. Oooops. What are they trying to do?

They are most likely (like 99% sure) bot farms.![]()
I buy my wheat to sell to the visitors and I've seen lots of these farms. Definately bot farms. The paper is full of them again.
I guess I'm just clueless about bot farms, but why would they not want ppl buying from them? I thought the whole reason for them is to sell, but again, I have absolutely no idea how they work. I thought those farms were baby farms and players didn't want items being purchased while making a shuffle of supplies to their main farm.![]()
Farm level 99

I don't know, but when I see them I chalk it up to a language problem. They may think they are saying, "please buy this cheap ♥♥♥♥."![]()
That or they are using names they've seen on the boat leaderboard for example and using those names to sound like legit players.

Maybe it's a message from supercell to say we know it a bot farm and we don't want you to buy from it. So it registers as a don't buy.
You never know.
