I've heard a lot of people complaining about how eliminating TH sniping broke the game. Actually, I think it is a huge improvement. Now we can play the game the way it was meant to be played, and not have to leave our TH's outside to protect our loot.
However, there are some problems with the fix. It has made trophy pushing a lot harder, more expensive, and time consuming. This isn't really fair to us who play the game the right way, and didn't snipe our way up to Champions as TH 8's for an easy 2k gems.
Now that TH's are all protected, it is impossible to win by barching, so we need to use expensive troops that take forever to cook. I used to be able to cook up a barch army for 70k in about 20 minutes, and go do a snipe/collector raid with no heroes. Now I'm bringing giants and wizards; I spend twice as much elixir, it takes an hour to cook, and I'd never think about making an attack without my heroes. Still, with TH9 troops, I can next for a while at Crystal 1 before finding a base with decent loot that I can take. This means I do fewer attacks in a day, which makes the game a lot less fun. It also makes it impossible to save elixir. If I want to push higher, I'll need to spend even more loot and time to cook an army. Soon I'll probably start using dark troops, and will have a hard time saving that as well.
SC should offset the time and resources that players lost from having to use better troops after the fix by: reducing hero regen time to +1.5 minutes per level; reduce resource costs of troops by 20%for giants up, and dark troops from hog up. Reduce training times by 25% for troops from balloon up, and dark troops from valk up.
