Upgrade those defenses!!!!

Well let me start by saying I have seen worse, however you don't want to be better than the bottom you want to be the best.
As has been pointed out you need to get those builders to work. Upgrades need to happen, and fast. Walls need some real work. You have TH 5/6 walls on a TH8 base, this is a bad thing for you. In addition, your defenses are not going to do much defending against someone that is prepared.
My suggestions would be to get your preferred loot troops working in the lab, then get to looting. Dump resources into splash damage defenses first(mortars, wizards towers) then work on AD and the cannon archer towers. Teslas take a long time so wait on them at this point.
Keep a builder free and dump your extra gold into those walls. I know ppl will say that walls are not that big of a deal. I disagree with this. AS a th8 you will face gowipe attacks as well as barch runs for your loot. Walls help a lot and turn 3 stars into 2 stars as attackers get stuck on walls. However, they are not as likely to get stuck on gold walls.
Gonna be some work, but hey think of how you feel in several months when you come back to this thread with a legit base and post the before/after shots.

1) For a th8....your base is very rushed. Get to work upgrading it.
2) Centralize your clan castle.
3) Wall breakers do splash damage so having two walls in a row won't stop em.
4) Your gonna need at least one Double Giant Bomb Spot in you base if you wanna use it for war.
5) Don't put all your resources in center, because if someone gets to center they're gonna take all of them.
6) Make sure your mortars are in some sort of square/diamond.
Definitely don't use for war as it is weak to a lot of th8 war attacks like GoHo, GoWipe, Drags, GoVaLo
UPGRADE THE WALLS AND DEFENSES.... then it would be superb
