Lightbulb New DE Troop: Dwarf [Warning: Long Post]

In CoC, there are lots of troops for different purposes. You can use Golems, Giants, or Lava Hounds to tank for your troops in the back, Wizards or Dragons to do some massive damage, et cetera. However, there's only one troop that targets your enemies' resources, when stealing loot is actually a big part of a successful raid. CoC is long overdue for a new troop with storages and collectors as target. I think a powerful way to get way more resources will be an awesome and well-used addition to the game, and a real challenge for even the most skilled base builder to protect their treasure.

    Introducing the Dwarf.

    Character Design
The character design is always the first thing that stands out about a troop. That includes not only the look, but the way they actually work and where their ability comes from.
Let's start with the look of the Dwarf. The Dwarf is about the size of a barbarian, he has a big rectangular or trapezoid shaped beard which covers a large part of his face, very outspoken eyebrows, a big round nose, and is dressed in a dwarven miners' attire, complete with a metal helmet that becomes bronze and gold as you upgrade the troop. In his big hands he holds a glowing pickaxe made of solid gold or some kind of crystal. This pickaxe is the source of the Dwarf's magic, fueled by the Dark Elixir that makes him so powerful.

    Attacking
How does the Dwarf attack? What exactly does he do and how does it work?
A good way to put it might be that the Dwarf is to the Goblin, what the Wizard is to the Barbarian. This may not be entirely accurate, but it's a decent comparison. The Dwarf attacks from a distance, and has a range of 3 to 4 tiles. It will look for a beneficial spot from where it can target a maximum of four resource-type buildings at once. The Dwarf raises his pickaxe like a wand or staff, and gold, elixir and dark elixir are sucked from the collectors and storages, as if by a magnet. The yellow, purple or black stream of resources can actually be seen flying in a straight line, through the air, into the Dwarf. When multiple Dwarfs are used together, storages can be taken out within seconds. When all of the Dwarves' preferred targets are gone, this "Ranged Goblin On Steroids" will target the closest buildings to it, although not helping out a lot, as they do considerably less damage than when targeting resources.

    Stats
These are the stats one might see when selecting the 'i' option in the barracks. These are the stats for level 1, so Dwarves do get a lot more powerful than this.

    Damage per second: 24
    Hitpoints: 120
    Training cost: 100 DE

    Favorite Target: Resources (Damage x4)
Damage Type: Multiple Targets (Max. 4)
    Targets: Ground
    Housing Space: 8
    Training Time: 8m
    Movement Speed:20

    Description:

These mighty and loyal creatures care for nothing but shiny stuff! Combine them with the magic of the Dark Elixir and they give up mining for treasure to suck up tons of loot from their rightful owners!

    Balancing
Some people might say this troop is OP for farming, and will also make goblins useless. This is nonsense, since they are quite expensive and take a lot more time to train than a horde of goblins. Also, a large number of these troops wouldn't last long without good coverage, and most farming attacks such as barch or bargo don't include high-hitpoint troops that could tank for the Dwarves. Then, are they underpowered for farming and attacks aimed at getting loot? No. When placed strategically they can target multiple buildings at once, so they are still extremely efficient at farming. As for the upgrades and the precise stats, I think Supercell could do a much better job at balancing them, but I think I did a decent job, if I do say so myself.

So that's it from me, guys! I spent a lot of work on this idea, i've thought about it for a very long time and this post was the finished product. Please leave your comments and tell me what you think! Is it OP, is it UP, do you have any cool additions to the look or the concept?

Note: Yes, this is a repost. The last one only got 19 views and no replies at all before it disappeared from the first page of the subforum. I guess I didn't make it clickbait-y enough.
