Thread: Make Clan War GREAT Again!

    4.) MVP Clan Rank (Skill Indicator)

    Who are the most valuable war players? I offer a non-exclusive way to determine such a title!

    This "MVP" rank would be a calculated rank based on
    • Average stars per war (25%)
    • Average war weight of opponents attacked in war (25%)
    • Average War attacks Used (25%)
    • Average "defended" attacks (25%)


    This rank calculates data from your previous 2-4 wars into account when assigning an "MVP" rank. This makes it possible to lose the MVP rank due to poor recent performance.

    MVP rank is for bragging rights only. The MVP rankdoes transfer over to other clans, but if you are too inactive from war you will lose it. (I can see it now... " looking for max th9 MVP only")

    Same idea as clan description, but war description can only be viewed on your war screen. This can be used for specific war instructions without mail spam.
    • I saw this idea somewhere and thought I should include it.


    6.) "Clan Ready" War button

    Before you read this one, keep in mind that I would change prep day to 24 hours and war day to 23 hours so that clans can still war on a fixed schedule.

    I am strongly against the idea of ending a "forfeit war" button for a list of reasons. However, being able to start a war as soon as you are matched does not change gameplay... at all. Players still have an entire 23 hours to war, which should be more than enough time to get in 2 attacks for any war clan. Only the clan leader can hit the "clan ready" button.

    7.) Heroes available for use in war at all times...!

    Cmon Supercell... That "coding" excuse is a pretty weak one.

    8.) PLAYERS CANNOT ATTACK SIGNIFICANTLY ABOVE THEIR WAR WEIGHT
    • How do I explain this in a SuperCell Friendly way.... Attacks that don't make sense won't happen
      • Message will look like the following: "Woah there Chief! Let's leave this job to our allies!"

    First of all, nice thread!

    most of the points you presented are good solutions to certain problemd, but there are some that I don't like.
    1) This feature doesn't fit in the style of clash of clans. It's unnecessary as well.
    8) I believe people should be given freedom to attack. It trolls are a problem in wars, then just don't let them participate.
    On a side note, I 1-starred a TH9 base as a TH6 using archers to clear outside structures
    This wouldn't have been possible with that feature

    You have to allow players to attack where they want - rule 8 not good

    To start, your suggestions are great. I especially like the clan ready button - speeds up the war process.

    However I must say that your final suggestion would be a bad idea. There are situations where you want a low level player to attack higher:
    1. Picking off a poorly designed base with lots of external buildings to get a one star.
    2. Scouting a higher level base to find out traps and clan castle troops for a higher level player.
    3. Sniping a town hall in an anti-three star base.
    4. Players who have not upgraded any defences with gold and upgraded all troops, heroes and army camps will have very low war ranking, but can attack much higher.


    If you have a problem with looters or badly behaved clan members, then that is your problem right there - not restricting who can attack who.

    I have comments btw.

    I don't like 1) and other people also agree with me, white gold doesn't feel like Clash of Clans. Gems should be the way to have cosmetical changes, just like League of Legends as an example.
    3) seems like it will give an end to lots of free elder clans. good riddance
    7) will never happen. People gem to wake up their heroes in war. Supercell makes a lot of money with this.

    Love all of these ideas, though it is likely many will not like the whole concept of cosmetic upgrades; actually for cosmetics, I think it would be neat if you could customize your heroes.

    You have really nice ideas but I feel we need #3 the most!

    Having aesthetics would increase game size and stuff. MVP is really hard to judge because a lot of players do really well and picking one BEST out of them is a little elitist imho.

    #1 was catchy,but i feel it needs some improvement!
    for ex: when we upgrade/change the armor of the pekka,will it be a permanent effect ,or a temporary one, which you can switch between.?
    And will the effect change when we donate.?
    #2 Incredibly useful idea.. Arranged wars get easier now.!
    #3 Someone commented about not being a wuss and being afraid of spies.. the point of the idea is to increase fairplay in wars...!! Sending spies is a fool's play!
    #4 MVP could change the way the world sees players in global.. i mean,now people will know how a player performs in wars!! and Bragging rights <3 WOW!!
    #5 Not much useful as far as i'm concerned.. idk though!
    #6 Did not understand what you were saying.. but No.. Direct war day type of wars could be disastrous for Clash of Clans ,as well as it's players!
    #7 Exactly right?! GoLaLoon needs heroes as backup for Golems in the first stage of the attack.. King or queen in upgrade rules out such Royals depended attacks!! that's not good for people who are experts in some particular strategies..!!

    Solid ideas across the board.

    Number 8 won't fix Bunnying. It just means they'll have to bunny your base without traps or knowing what's in the cc and hope for the best. Still going to see a lot of 3star fresh hits. Anything that survives the fresh hit will then be bunnyied as per usual. I wouldn't bother implementing this, cons outweigh the pros.

    Id like to see an addition to number 2. Both clans set their opt ins and outs then req a war. The war request won't come up so there isn't a spam issue. Once both clans request a war with each other the war weight screen will come up. Players can be subbed in and out to match weights within reason. Then simply click "ok".

    I live arranged war to arranged war. There's only so many times you can 3 star the general and watch gowipe 2 star your anti 3 star layout before you feel dead inside lol. Arranged wars are a lot of work. This would be my number one addition to the game.
