Just for entertainment purposes? ...and if you spend oodles of diamonds, you do this for entertainment purposes? Certainly, we don't play for the prizes.

I DID enjoy the different prizes, decorator items, tired of the same old expansion stuff that I don't need. It's getting boring, no incentive for derby. Same thing for the gift cards. I've received one musical instrument. One. Zzzzzzzzzzzz

Some weeks ago, we changed our playing style. One week we play full speed to get a gold trophy and bonus material (in a minor league). Next week we try to become last by only taking tasks below 200 pts. So it's one week to relax and one to be highly competitive. I really do enjoy this.
I don't care about the Champions League.

my NH is very Active, Chat a lot, Call for help, Saving stocks, Relax and Enjoy it!

And of course, try to increase the ranking as far as possible.

I'm done with the derby. My goal was to place in the champion league and nothing special happened. Sooo done!! Well it was fun but I'm seriously burned out.

oh I tried to have my NH to relax every other week and drop down to expert alternately but they won't so we keep settling for 6-10th place in champion league due to zero-ambition members. Blah, so done!

To complete the achievements - no other reason!

i am beginning to wonder why I play at all actually. It's classic obsessive compulsive behaviour. I'm obsessed about completing the achievements and maxing my barn but what will I do when I've done that? I have absolutely no idea! I know that if I stop playing I will find something else to waste my time on instead, but will find my way back sooner or later.

Oh, dear SC, why can't you mix them prizes up a bit? A choice between one nail, one screw, and one land deed may sound cool to some but in every column.......????......what about a jelly bean or three? A lobster soup or three? Just a bit of variety!!!

It seems like the overall tone of Derby-related comments has changed here during the last two months. Less ideas for improvements, less complaints, less replies to other posts at all.
More posts about players being burnt out or opting out.

I am guessing SC can go two ways about it. Leave Derby for dead and introduce "next big thing" such as town expansion. The question is - is this new thing "big" enough to bring excitement/revenues close to what Derby generated? And how long this excitement will last, if it is just more of what we know already - producing something and supplying goods for something else.

There is also a slim possibility, that they will start to introduce some of the Derby changes proposed here months ago, to create some new excitement. Derby still has huge potential. Just not in the shape it is right now.

Why I (still) play Derby? I only do tasks I like (growing/trains/trucks). It adds to the variety of things to do in this game.
And I want to stay in CL because i do not want to let down the other player in my hood.
