I play to hopefully win one of the special derby decos. I enjoy seeing if those come up!They don't (unless I spend lots of diamonds) but it's still exciting to hope for one.

I just simply enjoy everything about the derby, even the prizes everyone so often complains about. 😉 I only use diamonds to sometimes speed boats up if completing for derby, otherwise I hold onto those previous gems. I like to win, but not going to be devasted if I don't. My game playing is for pure enjoyment and a way to unwind after a long day at work. 😍

I play for the prizes - expansion material. I do not like deco. Never used a diamond.
To complete the achievements - no other reason!
i am beginning to wonder why I play at all actually. It's classic obsessive compulsive behaviour. I'm obsessed about completing the achievements and maxing my barn but what will I do when I've done that? I have absolutely no idea! I know that if I stop playing I will find something else to waste my time on instead, but will find my way back sooner or later.
my name is Stan and I'm a farmaholic...
whatever
For the achievement, and for the pleasure of doing the tasks. It is certainly not for the prizes, and I have a decor allergy.

Getting back on topic.....
I decided to opt out the past two derbies and it has been a wonderful experience. Most of my neighbors don't do the derby and no one opts out so staying in the Champions League is impossible. Frustrating because those are the only achievements I have left. I'll admit that I really don't miss it. The prizes I got amounted to nothing and I won't use diamonds to refresh the prizes. Anyway, looks like the derby is a thing of the past for me. I didn't mind doing 5 tasks per week but doing 8 is a pain for no reward. Just my 2 cents.
Some weeks ago, we changed our playing style. One week we play full speed to get a gold trophy and bonus material (in a minor league). Next week we try to become last by only taking tasks below 200 pts. So it's one week to relax and one to be highly competitive. I really do enjoy this.
I don't care about the Champions League.
Bender, I think that's a great idea. The Derby is there, just like the trucks, boats, and town, are there. We can do or not do as much or as little as we please.
I play the Derby because it is there.
