I am a soon to be maxed th9, and yes I mean actually maxed (all buildings/traps, lab done, 30/30 heroes, and 20 lavas left). I am thinking of upgrading to th10 once I max, but I’m loving war, and don’t want to mess up my war matchups. I occasionally get matched with a th10 now, usually with level 1 infernos.
So my question is, if I go the “9.5” route, will I start pulling infernos every time? I would plan on doing the following: lab, SF, camps, CC. Then start on research and finally heroes. I figure there is no downside in multiplayer, because otherwise I would be wasting all three resources.
If I don’t want to waste gold, is it safer to upgrade existing walls rather than build new ones?
Will any amount of troop research increase the defenses of the bases that I pull in?
I’m not concerned about my position on the map, because I’m already in the 1 spot, but I don’t want to attract much tougher opponents. I figure if I keep offense ahead of defense, by the time I’m getting matched with inferno opponents, I will be able to handle them, at least for high% two-stars.
I’m sure at some point doing heroes will put me firmly in the inferno crosshairs, but that’s fair, and at that point I can decide if I want to build defenses.
