I need to further test this tomorrow, but from what I've tested so far, I believe the percentages are as follows:
- DE Storage: 5% plus 1% for each level higher
- DE Drill: 70% of uncollected, no adjustment found for higher level
Here's some raw data:

Sample 3:
- Actual Available in Dark Elixir Storage #1 (lvl 2): 397
- Actual Available in Dark Elixir Drill #1 (lvl 2): 64
- Actual Available in Dark Elixir Drill #2 (lvl 2): 64
- Total Available to Loot: 113
I suggest lowering the amount of elixer gained from drills and increasing the amount you can steal, so that you can make more money![]()
Looking at your observed numbers and the wording in that other thread: "75% of uncollected dark elixir left in the dark elixir storage can be stolen by attackers." Which seems be rather contradictory it stands to reason that perhaps it should read :
75% of uncollected dark elixir left in dark elixir drill can be stolen by attackers. If the numbers are in fact:
75% of elixir on drills and 10% of elixir in storage then the Maths of what you observed works out assuming the time delay between your initial and follow up examination of his base allows for the collection of ~3 dark elixir. (the assumption being that the collector had only 34/35 dark elixir at the time of your attack).
I would say that this makes more sense from a development point of view anyway...
Thanks. Worst part is actually finding someone with some DE to steal. I think I've spent about 500K in gold searching targets I'm not even going to raid.
I checked TH 7&8, but doesn't seem to be any changes; I'm TH8. I haven't checked TH9 yet, but my guess is the discrepancy comes from the extra storages. I'll let you know if I find something.
What is your TH level? If you are TH9 and in sample 1 you are attacking a TH7 then you can only take 50% of normal pillage...
You should record Townhall level differences when taking your numbers because that comes into it aswell.
What was the time delay between your inspections on Sample 3? On my model it looks like about an 18 minutes?
Should be that you can loot more % from the drills and less from the storages.
Also, the HP of the storage will be increased soon.
Also at some point the overall cap will also need to come into play, if I was to hazard a guess your storage probably has a theft cap between 2000-2400, that would be inline with the rest of the game design.
