You did a great job with this base, I really love it!
Dem big bombs! I personally use them in the outer quadrants of the base inside the walls because that's where most of the infantry attack comes from - trying to steal DE from the drill or elixir from the storage. You just have to shift one or two walls around to make a 2x2 space, it uses no extra walls. The only problem I can see with your modification is that it creates a few unstaggered junctions which wallbreakers could take advantage of :P

    Glad you're enjoying it though

Yes, in the transformer design (near the bottom of the post) the mortar and wizard tower are separated by the air defence. It is an inconvenience that the mortars and wizard towers are adjacent to one another in the farming layout, however, even if they are both taken out there is still another mortar firing and two xbows. At max they would take one storage if your defences are high level.

    Thanks James

In masters I used gowipe, only had lvl 1 golem though so it wasn't as effective as it should have been. 2 pekkas (maybe 3), 2 golems, 15 wizards, 5 wbs and 40 archers to mop up and lure CC. Never use all your archers in one. Use the wizards behind the pekkas and the golems but save some archers incase you are stuck on 49% and there is one low hp building. I used 3 rages and 1 lightning (for cc troops or on builder huts for extra percentage). Almost every battle up there will use all four spells but the loot you get from them will pay back the spells. The only hindrance is the long spell training time. Also, always wait for both heroes to be at full health because they really make a difference. With such long training times, you can let your heroes die in battle since their 1h20 or so regen time is nothing compared to the 2h spell time. If you have gems, boost the spell factory, don't gem the spells - it saves so much. I used BAM up to 2550 but past then it was too risky, gowipe was my saviour.

And lastly, you will rage a lot up there. If and when you do, just stop playing for a while and recover your composure. The worst thing you can do is lose and then lose again.

Just seeing this thread for the first time, really nice base! I'll give it a try at some point soon when I need a break from Hannibal's.

I just made this, no idea how well it will perform, I haven't made a TH8 layout in a very long time :P

I can't really test it out since I'm not TH8 so if anyone wants to try it please do. Post any tips/weaknesses here. If the mortars in the core are susceptible to lightning you can swap one out of the core in place of the bottom archer tower.

    Some feed back

Ok, so I went to TH9 almost 3 weeks ago. and since the start I used the transformer layout. till now it's doing a great job for a maxed TH8 going to TH9. minimal losses in resources.

I have uploaded a youtube video of the most successful attack on my base using the loaded die design. The attacker was able to get 80k G, 20K E, 500 DE only because I was upgrading three mortars and wizard tower. Also I had few pervious raids and a half loaded xbow which made on of the xbows stop working at mid battle. Basically one raid will pay back a week worth of defenses.
One note though, I'm currently parked at low trophy range (1200-1400)

Richard, very nice base. Reminds me a lot of several other bases, but overall is a good looking base. Let us know how it worked for the trophy push.

ruthlessBarb..... could I spank too? I'm really bored :/
