You getting the amount of scrolls you got was a glitch in the game. The same happened to me. I'm guessing when the game restarted, it reset some sort of data in the game and only added the rewards...

I Hadd the glitch all through the end of the derby, my scrolls were still x3 and x4. Of course I grabbed them. Once I collected my prizes, my screen flashed as if it disconnected and opened back up...
