One of the best things about Clash is that you can play it in various ways. There is nothing much about Clash that "everyone should" do, and that includes rushing to TH14.

Given they will have a significant effect on main village game play, there is zero chance of them being forgotten about, nor even of going a similar way to builder base, and not being used regularly...

That isn't what we saw in testing. 2 star/3 star rates and % damage weren't very different to what we have been seeing at TH13. Although admittedly, that was without all that much practice.

If you think that, you almost certainly aren't yet at a high enough level tobe getting them soon. TH13 is swimming in DE once you have heroes maxed.

Nothing has ever needed to be "unlocked".

All defensive buildings needed to be dropped, but this is very different to a normal defensive building.

In the lower leagues (anything up to and including Masters), the matching takes your TH level into account, but it doesn't prioritise your own specifically.
