Does defense matter part III
This is a continuation of the analysis in post #82. To reiterate, we're examining whether gold weight in itself, as a proxy measure of defensive strength, can explain...
The CH3-CH2 Cluster part II
(Formerly known as the M1-CH3-CH2 cluster)
This is another minor update to the latter half of post #106, wherein a model to measure "skill" in Champions was proposed....
Average base growth part II
This is a minor update to post #83, in which we looked at the average gold weight across leagues. The purpose is to understand the system as a whole and how it evolves...

It's well known around here that, all else being equal, taking max TH12s or max TH11s dramatically increases the probability of matching respectively 13s and 12s. I wish more players were aware of...
We measured about 7% 130k in M1 and about 34% 130k in Ch3 last month.
How about both!?
No, but seriously, it's all dependent on army comp and base layout.
Personally though, I probably tend more towards jump. Easier to path and less slots.
Anybody spun in Gold 3? I can come by and do the readouts if need be.
So, TH10 is usually between 70-90k gold weight. That's what you're coming with?
Take a look here at last months summary:

@joshsgrandad Hehe yeah that's a 10 man clan plus fillers. Question: 97 is a rushed 11 with or without EA? 57 is a TH9 with 1 or 0 Xbows?
@Piper139 Those last three clans, did they give up or were...
Great. Welcome to the club of contributors. You got final stars scored aswell?
Great. I've probably got G2 coming from Warios, which should include a fresh seeding as well. Which means we'll revisit the seeding analysis this month.
Anyone got G3 data btw? Haven't had any...
15v in G1
Running a 1/1/3/6/4.
Getting absolutely stomped, most attacks are 1 or 2 THs up.
Probably gonna end up 5th or 6th.
I guess this is expected whenever you're in a new league.
Here you go:

Exactly the above yeah.
And strange question indeed. The game doesn't know a base is a mini, so in terms of game mechanics there's no difference.
The scenarios you pointed out above are also...
It does seem a lot of the posts are drive-by shootings, which isn't really useful to anyone.
It's definitely important to keep in mind the heavy bias in what's being presented by a youtuber.
I haven't really been keeping up, but is it really the case that there aren't any youtube...
January CWL recommendations
hi, unfortunately I haven't had time to calculate the numbers for January. Luckily, gold weights don't move that much, so I'll refer to December recommendations for...
The M1-CH3-CH2 cluster
Ok, so I've been asked to take a closer look at what's happening in the upper leagues, specifically M1 through CH2. It's obviously of great interest, because these are the...

There's another issue with building merging, though it might be minor:
Base design, which makes up a large part (and at max TH13 almost everything) of a good defense, is directly dependent on how...
Progression indeed. But I think, as content is added, it might start looking like quite the mountain climb for new players. Shortening upgrade times and lowering resource costs are fine and probably...
It must necessarily be as per your experience.
Imagine if ws was first or weighed alot, you'd see lightweight rosters with high WS being matched with similar WS but much higher roster weight.

Completely agree on the difference between CW and CWL. Sometimes I'm actually amazed how SC managed to make two very different game modes, of which the one superficially looks like the other.
Well, we can infer either of two possibilities:
Either win streaks don't weigh in very heavily.
Or
Win streaks are a secondary part of the matching process.
At least that's how I see it.
