Finally my base is a fully max TH9 with lava walls

I first started playing in March 2015, and I maxxed out at th8 somewhere around July. Since then, I've been playing and farming hard, and and yesterday finally reached max TH9, with nothing at all left to upgrade apart from the Town Hall. Something like 7 months of hard farming bought 250 lava block walls, max heroes and all the other things.

I do use gems, but fairly frugally. Mostly gems are used to boost barracks, and as here, resource collectors when the cost is 1 gem per day. I've farmed in all leagues up to Champion III, but am currently in the gold/silver region without worrying about trophies. There is plenty to loot here with loads of abandoned bases, and others accessible via BAM and a few giants.

I got another happy surprise yesterday, in that I was able to 3 star my first TH10 in a clan war.

I've another 4 days or so before my TH10 arrives so in the meantime I will max out my storages and collectors ready to begin upgrading.

Thanks! Yes, I've heard farming is tough. Then again, people said it's tough at TH9. Didn't find that to be the case.

congrats, i gave up on fully max, just started th to th10 2 days ago.

I have 50 lavas, rest legos. Max defenses, 25/25 heroes, and only upgrades left in lab are gob5 and valk 2,3,4. Got tired of seeing 3-5 builders idle. You sir have alot of discipline.

Thanks! Once you're all legos that's enough to get my respect. I don't know if I have the energy to do this again for level 11 walls. Plus I'm gutted that they are no longer electric blue.

Great achievement! Do you think I could get away going to th10 with bk 20 aq 25?

Wow, I started late Feb and I'm a low-mid TH9.

You have to find your own comfort level. Lots of people do this, my mate is a TH11 with similar heroes. It's up to you, do what makes you feel good. For me, it was a 100% max th9, as that is what I feel I can be proud of. :)

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling the pain, and some amount of dispiritedness. Part of it is that I have to restart the treadmill, and do it all over again if I want level 11 walls, and part of it is that loot seems to be less available and is harder to get. I'll need to upgrade my farming troops before that's likely to ease.
