Why has top contributed for truck event been banned ?

Over the past few weeks my neighbourhood have been gathering supplies to help Lugain and her hood prepare for this truck event. The goal was for Lugain to try to be top contributor with the help of her hood. All of whom have been frantically preparing. Now it seems they have been banned from using their rss as supercell suspect they may have bought items from a bot farm. My hood leader has gone to join them in an effort to help them negotiate with Supercell..as the majority in that hood are not english speaking.

Supercell why has this happened? Is it possible for you to look back and see all the honest hard work that has gone into this?
How do we identify bot farms? Once it was easy now it is not.

Come on Supercell this is not a hood trying to ♥♥♥♥♥. It's a hood who have been planning and working hard their aim to make one of their members top contributer... Now they have no chance
Please give them that chance back.

I think that is teamwork at its best. Helping a fellow player achieve a goal is part of what this game should be. However you don't know what has happened. You can of course fill truck orders using diamonds if you don't have the item that is needed. If that player had obtained diamonds from a different source (knowingly or unknowingly) other than supercell sanctioned there will be a problem. It will be a wait and see what sc decides now. They will review it. Honest players have been banned before. Please let us know how this turns out. It will be interesting to see what the outcome is. Good luck to your fellow player.

Yes that is her, she has been farming here for a long time, since game started she has been a friend for a long time now and is as honest as they come.

I believe I saw on the forums here that it was 17,280, and that's with never sleeping for the whole truck event. Some of the top contributors were over this number, closer to 20,000, which is literally impossible due to the truck orders not being filled instantly (truck has to drive off and back again). So anyone around 17,000 or higher are 99.99% guaranteed to be ♥♥♥♥♥ers. The 0.01% who aren't literally have no life beyond Hay Day of they can do nothing but fill truck orders for 4 days straight without ever stopping.

I timed my truck it took 25 seconds from clicking the button to when it was and back and ready for me to click it again. So why can the top people on the truck board run theirs in 23 seconds or in some cases 18 seconds! something is definitely fishy in this competition. Maybe there is a trick i don't know about?

PS I did some more reading evidently there is a way to legally speed them up. I'm going to give it a try and see what I can come up with.

Either that's a myth or it has been changed. I just tested: sent out a truck order, went to my fishing area, went back and no, my truck is not there. I then went to town and back, no, the truck is still not back. The total back and forth time is about 10 seconds btw.

Edit: tried the 3rd way mentioned in the post. Sent away a truck and visited a random farm from DD, stayed there for around 8 seconds (and got 5 gems from toolbox!). Went back, truck is nowhere to be seen.

Lujain if not banned would have a total over 20k at the rate she was going. But let's take the #1 sultan alsultan. He had 18818 deliveries in 4 days = 96 hours = 5760 minutes = 345,600 seconds = average of 18.37 seconds per truck. That's already faster than the already fastest truck trick which is to send the truck and go to a friends farm and come back and that will give you a speed of about 21 seconds. I heard another exploit puts you in the 15-18 second range yet I don't know it, and again it's an exploit and exploits make the game unfair. But let's say that he did have an exploit that put you at around 15 seconds, that would leave virtually no time to make one mistake or nod off for one minute. Maybe they had several people doing shifts non stop but still the times are virtually impossible. I say that supercell has a long way to go to make these global events fair and exploit free because I personally am tired of buying diamonds and thinking I can compete against all these fraudsters.

I asked for a per day amount not event amount. I see some with nearly 6000 per day. I doubt that is realistically possible with one player.

You're correct, it's impossible, one player or not. The max you can realistically get per day is 4320, without any speeding up techniques. Even with speeding up the truck by a few seconds, 6000 per day is not doable.

There is a way to get unlimited anything for any game if ur device is jailbroken. Most leaders on any GC leaderboard are there because they c heated the system. Sure, there are some who are on the leaderboard playing the game the right way with real purchases but I doubt most are legit.

Thats the whole point though. They're ruining the fun for all the legit players out their, and technically breaking the ToS in the process. The proper way to deal with jail breakers is to ban them. Plain and simple, no grey area. You exploit the game with a jailbreak, get banned.

I've seen the process applied to other apps, it can work here too.

Agreed. Something needs to be done to deter the illegitimate players from doing what they do. That all rests on SC's hands. Whether they want to pursue it is up to them. I reckon it'll be a sweep on a massive scale. Makes me wonder if we can even reach the goal of some of these events if that happens tho...food for thought :)

It is disappointing to read that so many views are negative. I am a normal player totally legit. We spent a long while preparing for this truck event and although I didn't 'take part' I helped with keeping supplies coming in. Yes, the truck was going 24 hours a day in a good team taking shifts.

Exactly! It is largely because of these ultra competitive players that I can slouch-off and only do 50 trucks, like many others, and still be reasonably certain of picking up the global prize. Personally, I have never seen the point of fighting to be at the top of the leaderboard, and don't really care what these people do to get there, just as long as we meet the global goal. Maybe it's because I'm not one of the "Look-At-Me-Look-At-Me" generation?

We might miss a few event goals if that happened, but Supercell would (hopefully) see the lower numbers as a result of illegitimate players being mass banned, and lower the goals accordingly.

Meh the devs are well aware of how much people have performed for previous tasks. So in the end they probably take that into account when setting the next one. So it doesn't matter really.

However if you or they are letting other people use the same farm and all have access to that farm, you are technically violating the Terms of service. They are sharing an account to take advantage. It's one thing to ask your husband or child to send off your boat or give Tom a poke. They would have access to your device anyway, but unless you are all related and living together and pass that device physically in the same building, it's not allowed. Individual stats are meant to be just that. Individual.

That's why you are getting negative responses.

If friends are sitting in the same room together using the same device that is not a violation. Yes if sharing account info I agree but not in this case.!

You are asking the wrong people. All we can do is speculate. We don't know who has been banned , who is being looked at or anything. We are all just players too. All we can do is point you to the Terms of Service. That's where we get our information. Please read them. It's should help

Everyone please ensure to know all the facts before speculating or Assuming. The only ones who will trully know all the facts is the User who got banned and Supercell combined. There is always 3 sides to a story, Side 1 Version A, Side 2 Version B and Side 3 The Truth.

Pretty sure it is normal for an account to be banned if it is found to be used by multiple members. The tos explicitly says you can't as well.

Here is what most likely happened, the player purchased too much items over a certain threshold that triggered a Flag that set an automatic Course of Action for Supercell Servers. Supercell will investigate and communicate with that player, if player did indeed play fairly without violating Terms of Service, Supercell will take the appropriate measures to restore account. If Supercell finds player has violated Terms of Service, the burden of proof is on Player to present his\her case for an appeal.

Nick is already in the picture and is getting with Support to investigate. There is nothing more any of us can do, if Supercell is aware of the situation for that player and is investigating and communicating.

I suggest everyone reread Terms of Service to ensure they understand it correctly, As I have seen on this thread multiple post with incorrect information citing Terms of Service. Its important to know the Terms of Service for any Applications you use so that you do not violate them.

In September 2015 during an issue that I will not rehash, it was analyzed by one of the top law firms in the US, and confirmed that ToS on that point did not explicitly say sharing your account details is a violation. It merely stated you are responsible for safeguarding your login details and that you are fully responsible for what happens on your account by anyone you entrust with those details or use of your device. It also states if you feel your credentials were compromised to contact supercell immediately. When dealing with Legal Agreements such as Terms of Service, the whole point must be taken into context.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the Login Information, and you will be responsible for all uses of the Login Information, including purchases, whether or not authorized by you. You are responsible for anything that happens through your Account.

So if you gave your account details and someone violated another aspect of Terms of Services, you have no recourse, it is essentially the same as if you violated Terms of Service yourself. If you are going to say that isn't what they're saying because some top law firm happened to look at it for some reason, you're going to have to reference that. Otherwise, it is natural for people to take it at face value, and understand that "you shall not share the account or the login information, nor let anyone else access your account".

OP has said, the village was being shared, and sharing is clearly written to be not allowed. While that may not be the reason the village was banned, it is quite normal for people to bring it up.

Sorry can not provide you with that document as I will be in violation of a confidentiality agreement in which I signed a non disclosure agreement barring me from releasing any documents related to that matter in which I was privy to receive. But if you ask any lawyer or anyone in law school they can confirm this for you as well.

Our support was not able to find the player based on the name and level only :( Could someone who knows this player ask for the player ID (found from the settings > credits) and then PM me the ID. Otherwise it will be impossible to find this one player (the NH name is not too easy to type in..).

Is sharing a device the same as sharing an account? Did the OP provide the other users with the log in details, or just hand them the device so they could play on a device that already had the game open?

I ask, because I am aware that many mothers, fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers allow their children and grandchildren to help them farm. Is handing your device to your child or grandchild so they can collect the eggs from the chickens sharing an account and a violation of the ToC, as you seem to be implying?

One thing I will never do is let my god son play my farm again, he went one day on my device, and had competition with his cousin to see who could wheat the most planks and ran out room. He couldn't figure out why he was not getting anything because barn was full. I told him my barn was full and I had to clear out some things. He took it upon his impatient self to make room, he sold all my saws I had at that time 500+ of them.

Once I let my cat play my farm by accident. He put his foot on the iPad and speeded up a sheep for 5 diamonds. Like your godson, he is now forbidden to play anymore!

They completed 16,800 Trucks for global event if I am to assume it is same player they showed in picture to posted before. They were the 5th Highest on Global Event level 148. Will not say their name but its exactly same spelling as picture.

I once showed the Prof Em the fishing area. He jabbed his finger at the seagull (perhaps wanting to see if it flew away?) and sped up the fishing spot for 5 diamonds. He is also forbidden to touch anything Hay Day again.

Oh, by no means am I saying for 100% certainty that she c-heated. But given that she had over 18,000 trucks and it's not possible to get over 17,280 without some sort of exploit or literal 100% perfection on the truck speed up glitch for 4 days non-stop.

Given that premise, it seems very certain that some exploit or third party software was used to accomplish this high number of trucks. Given that the ban halted progress, she probably would've reached 20,000 trucks, which is guaranteed impossible.

Innocent till proven guilty, but that seems like pretty good proof to me, hate to say it. And I'd rather see innocent people get mixed in with actual deserving bans as opposed to guilty people running free because Supercell doesn't want to offend them.

All this forum talk of "how many seconds between trucks" and "it is a statistical impossibility to X" judgements that have rained down upon these folks is NOT AT ALL RELEVANT to the OP and Plummy's initial question of why they were banned.

And I would point out that Nick took the OPs claims of innocence seriously enough to respond personally and publicly to them with a promise of an investigation -- he is therefore PRESUMING they are telling the truth about being banned unfairly, otherwise why waste time.

That presumption of an UNFAIR BAN has been sorely lacking from some forumers here. Does it make sense that a c h e a t i n g player would come here and ask for an investigation? In my experience, those who ♥♥♥♥♥ and get caught simply start new farms. Whether they change their ways or not, I have no idea.

I similarly have no idea if the OP and her friends have violated the TOS or not -- and neither do any of the forum finger-pointers. Only the OP and SC will have the facts. Only they will know what was done and how it was done.

If the OP and friends were breaking the rules, SC's investigation will show that and appropriate actions will be taken. If they were NOT breaking any rules, SC's investigation will show THAT, and appropriate actions will be taken.

In my opinion, the rest of us need to let that process play out and keep our uninformed opinions about any c h e a t i n g by any player who posts here to ourselves.

If it's impossible to do something without c-heating in some way, that would deserve a ban for doing it, wouldn't it? Which would be completely relevant, as it is the actual explanation. The ban would be for behaviour deemed not to be possible without third party software and/or exploits. The talk of timings and impossibilities are a way of PROVING that the behaviour was wrong, as it goes against what the game could allow on its own.

I think I read about this "logic" at the Salem Witch trials of the 1600s and at the US House UnAmerican Activities hearings in the 1950s.

If it's impossible (in our never-to-be-humble opinion) to do X, then if someone CAN do X, they c h e a t e d .

That was not an accusation of any kind. You said OP claimed innocence, I merely pointed out OP is not the banned player in question, but instead OP posted on behalf of the banned player. I'm not attacking OP or said banned player, I'm simply pointing out the statistical impossibilities (not to say entirely impossible, but extremely unlikely under any normal circumstances) that would apply to ANYONE. However you seem to think that you can call me out directly and start attacking me because of this.

I never once once said that this specific ban was justified or not. I simply tried my best to show why I believe the ban would have taken place. Try removing the context here, if someone said it was only possible to drive a specific distance in a specific time given a specific speed, and said person arrived there sooner, they obviously did something against those specifications, yes? So why is it different with a game? If the specifications of ANYTHING only allow a certain amount of things to happen, and someone goes at a pace which is beyond said specifications, something doesn't add up.

And if you still think I'm attacking one person: I believe that every player beyond the max possible should at the very least be investigated. I agree with OP in that the ban of one person only was wrong, I simply wished to help explain that logic behind the ban through actual proof. Why only one person got targeted, I don't know.

Perky once again you provide sound and reasonable responses. Too many times judgement are made by fellow forummers with out all the facts. I with many other forummers are tired of these witch hunts, and applaud you for also raising your voice to denounce those types of posts as adding nothing to thread but hostility, personal attack and purposeless inflammatory posts.

I also believe in innocent until proven guilty and to let Supercell and player work out the issue at hand. Too many people make accusatory and inflammatory posts making assumptions without all the facts. By facts I mean are they fully aware of how the player achieved what they did, do they know their network setup, do they know how many people helped that player, do they have access to Supercell Servers to investigate. The answer to all is NO, therefore they are speculating.

I wonder if all players who did not give benefit of doubt and immediately said guilty, if the player is found to be innocent and did not violate ToS will they apologize and admit they are wrong in equal measure to wipe out their negativity?

Speaking for myself, absolutely! Innocent people getting caught for SEEMINGLY wrong behaviour unjustly is a tough thing to deal with, and I feel bad for people that have had unjust bannings. I've dealt with it myself in games before, for different reasons, but the same premise.

I actually hope they are innocent, the less people c-heating the better, and I'll 110% apologize if they feel that I attacked them in any way. I did try to stay rather general about everything as to not single out the person banned, but if I have offended them, I'm saying it now, I am sorry. That was not my intent.

Jerhunter, I haven't seen you attack anyone. The OP brought this issue to the forum to seek help, and fortunately, for her neighbor, it looks like SC is investigating. But, since this issue is in this public forum, it's ripe for discussion. And it's been fascinating and informative to read how folks are testing the limits of the truck times, and calculating the maximum number of truck deliveries based on our 24-hour day. Wonder how many trucks we could do in a day if we were on Saturn? :smirk:

The post that you're defending yourself against is an example of a strawman argument. Your post was quoted but the reaction made it seem as if you were making all sorts of assertions that you absolutely didn't make. I don't know if there's a reading comprehension problem involved or if it was an intentional misrepresentation. But it's not fair. Especially since now folks seem to be taking that reaction at face value and are unfairly linking to rules about toxic behavior. All we can do is ask questions and give possible reasons why. If they don't want our answers, then they should not ask in a public forum and instead address their correspondence directly to SC. I waited several hours and when no one posted, I looked at one of the top contributors, I don't know who it was just one of the top ones. I saw that they had sent off nearly 6000 trucks in one day. I then asked how many trucks per day were possible because I truly didn't know. It seemed to me that could be the possible reason for the ban, but until that question could be answered, I didn't even suggest that as a possibility. This post DID ask SC to investigate and explain why an adverse action was taken against a player in their NH who was trying to claim a spot on the global event leaderboard.

This post DID ask SC to elaborate on the characteristics of bot farms, buying from whom the NH clearly assumes was the reason for their player's ban.

The VERY FIRST POST after the original post wondered how many trucks could "legally" be done in one day -- off-topic, since the subject of the post was why a player was banned, but at the time, seemingly harmless. I know that question was certainly not asked with the intent of starting up anything negative. It was just a direct request for factual information, that was all.

Then starting with the 3rd post to this thread, there are 5-6 on-topic posts back and forth between SC/Nick and the NH -- which discussion was sought by the NH, and which did not involve the forumers at all. NH rep was taking to Nick, and Nick was talking to NH rep.

The issue raised in the first post *seemed* solved: the NH asked SC to check out their activities, gave them required information, and SC agreed to. End of discussion?

Sadly, no.

Other commenters jumped over the on-topic conversation (between the NH rep and SC) that had come to a conclusion, in order to explore the off-topic "number of legal trucks" question. This elicited discussions of statistics and legalities of the TOS, and measurements of truck speeds and etc., with an eventual claim that no, the player's total truck order achievement was not possible without utilizing an unfair exploit. And so the discussion turned from its starting point (SC please explain what happened) to "what they did was statistically impossible without c h e a t I n g".

That's how the Forum Judgement Machine started rolling, and no number of posts by a member of that NH could stop it once it did.

Again: WE on this forum cannot, will not, and do not know what happened to cause the ban. We don't know why it was handed down. We don't know if the ban was justified, or if it was unjustified. We KNOW nothing because we have no access to facts -- but what we DO have unlimited access to is opinion, accusation, unintentional irony, and innuendo.

I agree that players who come here and ask questions of the forum will get answers from forumers. And I agree that if they don't want our answers, don't ask us. But I think they did address their post to SC, not to the forum at large.

Given what we know of in-game support, I understand why they came here looking for dialogue and answers from a real SC employee -- and they were successful in reaching Nick.

For what it's worth, I read your post asking the truck question as a pure request for factual information, with not a hint of any insinuation of any kind regarding bad behavior on the part of those who started the thread.

In my view, the forum discussion went sideways later.

Referencing the truck event, the GENERAL question asked by OP, DIRECTED AT NO ONE IN PARTICULAR, asked about how bot farms are identified. We on the forum gave our response, through estimating what is possible and what is not. This is how we on the forum tried to explain how bot farms are recognized. Maybe Supercell never caught them, but instead received numerous reports from concerned players/forumers suggesting that it was potential bot behaviour, resulting in the ban.

As Tiggerr had said, if they didn't want public opinion, don't ask on a public forum, there are ways to contact Supercell directly. Don't attack people who are harmlessly trying to have a discussion about this. All the truck speculation wasn't directed specifically at Lugain or OP, it was a GENERAL ​discussion that you seem to have taken offence to.

Sorry, I disagree. Perky's eloquent summation is correct. The whole of the OP's original post was directed at SC; the question re bot farms included. The conversation was between the OP and SC. However, others joined in to lay accusations of ♥♥♥♥♥ing and violations of the ToC. That was completely unwarranted IMO.

There should be a prize given if a thread ever stays on topic.

1 Started as request to SC
2 Changed to how many trucks are possible
3 Calculations done to say, not possible
4 Then turned to ToS discussion
5 Then item 4 linked to item 1
6 discussion about speculation not approprate
7 discussion about conclusion of 6

I like it when threads take on a life of their own. Like a real life conversation. I understand why others do not, and know forum rules say to stay on topic. So yes, my off topic remark is against rules. Sorry.

Is there a forum rule that the OP strictly determines what conversation is permitted in a thread? (Other than forum games, of course. :smirk: )

In a public forum, are conversations that examine topics relevant to the subject of the thread not allowed because they don't strictly answer the OP's initial question?

Where is this expectation -- that the OP may strictly dictate what happens in a thread -- coming from? The answer should be obvious. It's being pulled into this thread because it's a convenient way to dismiss conversations/discussions deemed inappropriate by some. It's a baseless premise and yet another logical fallacy.

BTW, I believe players who are threatened with losing Hay Day privileges should be given a huge benefit of the doubt. I believe that the burden is on SC to set a high bar for the evidence required to remove a player from the game, and that they should have multiple layers of procedures and safeguards for checking whether there's sufficient evidence for removal.

But there's a lot of self-righteous sermonizing and myopic fallacies going on in this thread to shut down some legitimate and interesting discussion. Come on, already.

Our support will now deal with this case. So, case closed. :)
