Ours is an international level 6 war clan. Because our members are scattered around the world, we wait 12 hours after a war ends before starting the next one; if we didn't, then each war would start in the middle of the night for the same members every time. Members can opt out of war when they need to, but generally we expect that clan members will usually participate in clan wars. After all, we are a war clan; if you only want to farm or trophy push, then this is not the right clan for you.

We're not an adult clan, but we're not a kids' clan either; our clan members include a mix of minors and adults, so we have some rules about clan chat:
*no cursing
*no teasing or bullying
*no asking age/gender/location -- that has nothing to do with CoC, so don't ask and don't divulge that info about yourself. We are a "family" clan in the sense that we have a tight-knit, supportive community.

We welcome players who feel comfortable in other languages, but the dominant language in clan chat is English; you must be able to communicate in English in order to understand and participate fully in our war plans.

Donations: Be quick to donate when a clan-mate requests troops. Be generous, but give clan-mates the kind of troops they are requesting.

Promotions (to Elder or to Co-leader) must be earned:
To earn a promotion to Elder, you must:
* abide by our rules regarding clan chat
* consistently donate troops
* complete both attacks in two consecutive wars

Note: If you do not complete both attacks in any war, you will be suspended (i.e. excluded) from the next war for one war. If you fail to complete both attacks in two wars, you will be permanently suspended until you communicate with us in clan chat to re-enforce your commitment to the clan. Always keep your "opt in" and "opt out" Clan Wars button on your profile page up-to-date to avoid accidentally getting included in a war that you know you won't be able to participate in.

To earn a promotion to Co-leader, you must:
* first earn promotion to Elder
* consistently donate troops
* complete both attacks in two more consecutive wars
* show us that you are trustworthy

Note: By "two consecutive wars" we mean two consecutive wars in which you have not opted out. Even if you opt out, we may use your war base to make up the necessary number (multiple of 5) for clan war; you will never be expected to attack in a war which you opted out of.

We are also a "learning/teaching" clan, and we expect members to experiment with various attack strategies. We learn by doing. No one in our clan will ever dictate to you how to attack (like "only use dragons against a TH7 base"), though clan-mates will give you advice when you ask for it.

We're looking for players with TH5-7. Rushed bases are okay as long as your base is not too unbalanced (though we want you to be working on upgrading everything to match your Town Hall level).

...had a glitch that interfered with our last war and some of our clan members couldn't log on, but we still won!

Lately we've been doing a lot of 10-person wars because some of our members have Real Life obligations that are keeping them away from the game; that's cool --Real Life always comes before the game! Still, I would love to see more new members in our clan so we have more 15- and 20-person clan wars. In fact, we just started a 15-person war, and I'm looking forward to the carnage.

Anyone interested in joining our clan? You have to be interested in participating in clan wars (except when Real Life keeps you away from the game!), and you have to be a team player: donate troops when your clan-mates request them and be active in clan chat.

It's okay if you have a low TH level or very little war experience because you can grow with us and experiment to learn how to be better with war attacks. It's also okay if you have plenty of war experience or if this is your second account -- just be willing to be a fully active member of the clan.

Because we're always in the middle of a war, we are cautious when someone requests to join -- you will be accepted into our clan faster if you write in your request to join, "I read your clan forum post." That tells us that you read our rules above and accept them.

Look, the only surefire way to figure out whether you'd like our clan or not is to join and try us out! Give us a shot!

So what makes us a "family clan"? It's not that we're all from the same family -- in fact, most of us don't even know each other in real life. Some parent-child pairs joined our clan because the parent wanted to check us out to make sure we were for real: no cursing in clan chat, no asking personal questions that might compromise a child's safety, supportive atmosphere, yadda yadda yadda. The hilarious part is that some of those kids got bored with the game and dropped out, but their parents have stayed active in the clan. Our clan is just as great for adults as for kids -- you're all welcome! Please read the rules I described above to make sure you're cool with them before you request to join. And remember: because we're always at war, we are cautious when people request to join because we want to make sure they're not spying for our opponents; we'll accept your request to join much faster if you write in your request, "I read your rules on the forum."

Trust me: Ours is an amazing clan! The only way you'll know for sure is if you join and try us out for yourself,

Truth is, we've lost 7 out of our last 10 wars. Hmmm, 30% wins is not at all impressive. The impressive part is when you think about how well we work together, and how much each individual player has improved: some have gone from consistently getting one star from an equal opponent to getting three or two stars from an equal opponent. We won't tell members how to do their attacks, but if anyone asks for advice, other members will offer it. It's important to us that our members experiment and try out new strategies as their bases and troops get upgraded -- that's part of the fun of this game! "Experimenting" means trying out the basic gowipe or dragon/lightning spell or giant/wallbreaker strategies, yes, but it also means exploring "what if" scenarios: what if I use all giants and hog riders on a TH7 opponent? Or what if I use all wizards covered by healing spells? What if... what if... what if... the possibilities are endless! And it's just as important to figure out what doesn't work (and why) as it is to figure out what does work.

Good strategists wanted. Preferably someone who is also generous, willing to put the clan win ahead of personal greed, and familiar with the capabilities of different Town Hall levels. It also helps if you are chatty.

We have some positions available in our clan:

1. Strategy Analyst: We already have one Strategy Analyst, but we need two altogether so one position is available. The Strategy Analysts review other clans attacks on our bases to look for patterns in attack strategies that may be useful to our clan members.

2. Staff Sergeant: One position available. Makes deployment assignments during Preparation Day for every war, in other words, the Staff Sergeant decides who should donate troops to the war castles. For example, you might tell the player who is #1 on our war roster to fill the war castles of #8, #9, and #10.

3. Field General: One position available. Assigns second attack targets to the members in the war in order to maximize the stars gained for the clan win.

4. Recruitment Officer: Two positions available. Help recruit new members of all ages, backgrounds, and geographic locations.

You might be asking yourself "What's the big deal about clan wars?"

Well, for one thing, you can a lot of loot in one shot! The Clash of Clans program assigns a "war win bonus" to each base in our enemy's clan: a set amount of gold, elixir, and dark elixir that base is worth. The amount is based on the level of difficulty of that base. Even if you only get one star off that base in a war attack, you'll win that whole amount of loot if the clan wins.

Aye, there's the rub.

We have to work effectively both as individuals and as a team to secure the clan win. It's not enough to get one star off your target, then sit back and hope that your clan-mates win the war so you get the war win bonus. No, we coordinate our attacks so everyone does both attacks and gets as many stars as they can with good faith efforts. It's an adrenaline rush that you won't get from farming or trophy pushing, trust me. Anyway, the goal with farming is to gain as much loot as you can from your attack using the cheapest troops you have; the number of stars you get doesn't really matter. In clan wars, you'll use your best strategy to win as many stars as possible -- that might mean using dragons, golems, pekkas, or a mix of your best troops. You spend a lot on making an army for each attack, but you gain a lot if the clan wins.
