I'm playing as intended and it doesn't work

I've been a farmer my whole game and after the appalling update crushed any sort of gameplay , I decided to go on a little trophy push

2 things:
Firstly, the loot difference between champs 3 and champs 2 is 25k of each. Are you serious? Is that meant to be an incentive! I did it anyway and have no idea why cause it's not cost effective to climb. All it does is help starve you of resources for no reward. Thus making it pointless. You don't go to war to starve to death.
Secondly, playing for trophies in Champs 2 and 1 means you will be unable to bank DE. The war armies you use just means you spend what DE you earn so no progress can be made. Gold and Elixar is fine of course. So no hero maxing or lab progress is possible.

How can this nonsense be as intended? I'm trying SC, I'm really trying to swallow the bitter pill you served but it's so half baked.

It was not intended for players to advance without buying gems.

I recently pushed and found I was accumulating plenty of gold and elixir, but not DE.

That said, if you want to farm, there is plenty of resources in lower leagues.

It's more of a grind, and my builders aren't always active.

should those of us who don't pay get to play and advance as quickly as those who do pay?

As intended does not mean go too high or always make the most expensive army. I am progressing just as well in Masters as previously. There are profitable raids to be had on a very regular basis.

Dude I got loads of my stuff gemmed here! Both spell factories, both dark barracks, every mine, drill and pump!

Yes, it's a shame SC decided that farming and advancing your base without using full war armies or buying gems was not how the game was intended to be played. Funny, 95% of the world played it that way.
I though war was where you were supposed to show your prowess of using fancy max troop armies and a full compliment of spells to 3 star an opponent. Now it's standard fare for every day raiding. What a disaster. :facepalm:

You never could. You can spend the gems, and have a max base tonight if you want. There is no way to advance as quickly as those who pay.

I think "as intended" is way overused. It is based on a comment from an SC developer who said that sniping was never intended. That was the context. It certainly doesn't apply to everything you're talking about.

But whether intended or not, millions of players are learning to change. It isn't that hard to do. If you need help, just do a little research.

Going from champ 3 isn't even a big enough deal to make a point based on that alone, even your search range when nexting is larger than the league.
Your second point is simply wrong, you don't need war armies to farm, and you certainly don't need a de intensive one. You're pretty much the first person I've seen that's complaining about de as a con of going over 3200.

You didn't say anything else apart from those two things
