I only got one star on this attack it is my first time using this attack maybe that's why? Does my army composition has a problem, should I have brought more wiz or valks or loons? Is it because I only have level 1 valks? Is it because I don't have my king during the attack? or because I did the funneling wrong?? Please elaborate and explain briefly all my mistakes so I can learn from it. Thanks. :)

Ohh thank you for the response. :) How about my funneling ? or JUmp spell placement? is it ok, because the valks didn't go into core deeper instead it goes outside. :) And Maybe if I dropped the all the loons on the east side I would have gotten a two star?? coz the queen will be saved from the tesla and she can hit the th?Quote:

obv the challenge which OP had is getting them there.
I use valks in every raid. also plenty of times in war (when the base suits) to do a particular job, be it clear out the core, trigger DGB spots or target the queen and take down skellies, usually to make the way clear for hogs to 3*.
They skill is the funnel and in bases with those rings round the outside of the core the key is to take out a tower each side of the valk path, be it with a couple hogs, or heroes, to be sure they go where you want.
check out valhalla for understanding the wild woman. and dont just believe people who shoot down a strat/troop with nothing to back it up...
The fact that your valks are level one was a factor. Personally I wouldn't attack that base without at least lvl 3 valks.
Like the other guy said, I wouldn't worry too much about tanking for your valks. A max valk has more hp than a lvl7 giant. They aren't gonna die easily in the core if you've got a heal on them.
You just gotta get them in there, which didn't seem to go so well in this raid.

Thank you for the good response and explanations guys, I learned a lot :) And I will start upgrading my valks coz I saw her potential, she has higher hp than a level 7 giant, speed of a goblin and splash damage of a wizard. :)

First of all: lvl 1 valks. Those... really aren't that tanky. Especially at th9, they're gonna be fried pretty quickly once that heal wears off.
But... I'd say if you had max valks or at least lvl 3s, you would've gotten much further in. Damage output on lvl 1 vs lvl 3 is acutally quite a bit once you compare total damage.
Also, that base isn't the best for govalo, either. That resource ring is very distracting towards the valks. Plus how bunched up it was... it distracted your valks quite a bit. Also, your king was down. Lots of potential there.
Uh... other than that it looked decent. You just need those valks up - those set the foundation for the rest of your attack. I've done plenty of failed govalos because either not enough valks went in or they just didn't do their job due to poor planning. Govalo is hard.
But yeah, I'd suggest Govaho anyways. Overall better solution. Hogs are much better cleanup troops.
lvl 1 valk was a factor, no king was a factor, also if u would have gone from queenside your valks would not have gotten distracted by her and left the core, that was the big issue I saw
