I keep going to farms that have a blank name and are selling bunches of corn in 10 for 1 or 2 coins. I've visited three or four today and a some in the last couple of days and it's just dawned on me that they are likely bot farms.
Anyone else running into these? I guess you can't report them if they don't have a name?

I've been seeing these farms a lot lately as well.
I suppose if they are in a NH, that might help Support determine who they are. Otherwise, I don't know if they can find them. That's a good question. Maybe someone else will chime in with an idea there.
I have been seeing these too, and I think the same as you, Krista. I think they're bots. They show lots of the traditional markers. I send screenshots, but I wonder how much extra info is in there for Support to find these farms. I remember an earlier wave of bots that changed their names and languages every few seconds. Perhaps that tactic no longer works??Quote:

Some forumers posted that it would be helpful for Supercell to educate all its players on what bot farms look like by sending an in game message. Moreover, when we visit suspected bot farms, there should be an easy way to report them for further investigation such as pressing a Report Button instead of taking a snapshot and contacting Support.
After September 2015, I don't remember seeing any game notice educating us about bot farms. Oh, dear.
Maybe Supercell has eradicated the pesky bot farms and don't need our assistance.

I have seen a number of these nameless farms lately, as well as farms with numeric, alpha-numeric or repeated/sequential letter combinations for names that also display the characteristics of bot farms. I have yet to see a paper over the last month without at least three suspicious-looking farms, and it's more often five or six of them. I've stopped reporting them 'cause it was taking longer to do this than I could spend in the game. I think Supercell is loosing the war on bots :(

Many innocent farmers lost their farms in the easy database search-and-destroy mission whose criteria were so broad that innocent farmers were caught in the dragnet, yet at the same time the criteria were not broad enough to get all the bots.
A VERY BAD METHODOLOGY to simply look for a nameless farm in my view -- there are better patterns SC can look for to identify possible bots/automated farms. Who knows how many players don't have farm names but are perfectly legitimate players? How many of us change our farm names frequently?
The way to eliminate bots from the game is to destroy the market for their wares -- whether for turn-key farms or black-market EMs. I have seen several Facebook posts offering high level farms with maxed barns for sale for $2000. I have also seen black market LEMS/SEMS/BEMS in sets of 100+ for cash money.
Is doing that as easy as shutting down all farms without a name? No, but it would be more effective at rooting out the true bad bot actors, and leaving the good farmers alone.
I have yet to visit a "legit" farm with a blank name. If I do run across one, I imagine it would be a higher level of player who displays the characteristics of a legitimate farm.
I have used the emoji website to play with my name as many of us have, but that's not the issue we are talking about here. Frequent name changes have never raised a red flag with me.
