Never had any gold difficulty till LVL26 when it was possible to build five smelters. I built three. Kinda regret it now :(
What is the best way to earn gold? Help vets? By selling crops or selling produces or a bit of both? And if so please advice on how. Don't wanna reach 27 and be SOO far away from rebuilding the fishing boat. Thanks!
Making produces now with the highest gold/hours. Hope that's the way to go. Selling extra crops as well.
If I am playing for awhile, I would usually make all my production buildings produce items that take the least amount of time. If I am away from my ipad and can't play for a few hours, I would make them produce the most expensive or longest timed items instead.
Another thing to try is wheating. Sell wheat at 10 coins and when you get expansion items, sell them. If you have any land expansion items in your barn, sell them. You don't need them at your level, and they bring in loads of coins.
Always sell for max price and don't do truck orders or boat orders, unless you are going for Captain III. Selling items in your roadside shop brings in more money.
how much do you earn from your roadside shop everyday? i never have to wait for money each time a new machine unlocks so i can buy it. the only way is to buy low and sell high. keep a lookout for cheap items then sell at max prices and of course do a lot of wheating to obtain expansion items. i also make sure to try to open every mystery box whenever i see one (without using diamonds of course). i open one mystery box once per 5-10 mins and i sell all these at max prices. and if you need a lot of money you also have to be selective of the truck orders you do. trash those with high xps and dont do that much of the boat orders since they dont fetch you a lot of money.

How do you open one every 10 mins w/out using diamonds?
A lot of the mystery boxes are free items. Not all of the require you to pay diamonds. I was playing not long ago and 3 of the mystery boxes from different farms opened to free stuff. TNT, Axe and Shovel. Always look for the mystery boxes and tap them. You will be surprised at how many give you free stuff.

If you do choose to make the bacon & eggs combo, sell in stacks of 2 at a reduced rate for those wanting it for truck orders or use a stack of 10 as a dummy advertisement towards the far right end of your crates (keep the last one empty for trade), mark for the highest price and wait 3-4 days for Greg or Tom to buy it or
Sell all land expansion materials, axes, and saws that you don't anticipate needing within the next few days or aren't using for trade. Same for excess barn and silo materials that you don't have room for...if you don't plan to use them for trade, sell them. Spend time on mystery boxes; not only do they give lots of items that you'll need or can sell/trade but they give lots of coins with the amount increasing as you increase in levels.
For a while, until I got my dock, I produced all items requiring quick-growing base materials...carrot juice, carrot pie, cream, brown sugar, hats...until I needed either the base materials or the produce to make other, higher items for boats. Cream and brown sugar are easy and quick to make are in very, very, very high demand as are other fairly quick to make basics such as butter and white sugar. I also found hats to be more profitable than base wool as many boats ask for them.
Save your boating and truck achievements until you feel financially set as you'll make way more money filling your roadside stalls. Don't buy anything from other stalls for now except for expansion materials that you need. Produce everything yourself even if it takes longer. Save purchasing your mine and smelters till you have most, if not all, of the other machines and sell or trade any TNT, dynamite, and most shovels (they produce the most ore so save a few as some folks have a very hard time finding them). Don't hoard more than a large handful of mining materials as they'll take up precious space in your barn. Save purchasing decorations right now and use only those that you get free.
During the hours that you are at the game, produce your quickest items over and over (feed, bread, cream, etc). Set the more time consuming (cheese, syrup) items for when you are asleep as well as the more complex, higher production items that usually take more time. That's when you should also seed time consuming crops like potatoes, strawberries, pumpkin, tomatoes, etc. that you may wish to sell or need for the higher production items. (sorry if I've mentioned any not yet available to L26.)
Use diamonds to increase production slots on your feed mills, dairy, sugar mill, popcorn maker, and bread maker first. Than choose from the other machines you use most to add slots to.
Well, this is what worked for me and I now have a lot of excess cash and the luxury of buying instead of producing to fill as many of my own or neighbors boats as I please and I have more than enough for the coffee kiosk a couple of levels from now. Hopefully, some of the above can help you with your plan of action.

EDIT: As others have mentioned, DON'T use diamonds to open mystery boxes. They'll open eventually, you just need persistence and patience.
I agree with the comment about the popcorn. I've never seen so many boats asking for several crates of all types of the stuff. The regular popcorn is pretty fast to make and you will earn a steady income from that. The other three are questionable as they either take expensive materials or too long to produce. Just remember that the lower the level is of the item you advertise, the more customers you will hit with your ad. Advertising popcorn has always worked well for me.
You can always use the paper to buy cheap and then resell, but that has never sat well with me. I usually sell well below max and never have a problem with stuff sitting around in my stall for very long. And turnover is important until you have lots of friends to increase your stall slots. But your stall is a better money maker in the long run than the little people, trucks or boats, you just don't get any experience points selling that way. On the other hand, levelling up gives you the new toys and more expensive items to sell. So it's a real balancing act, and Hay Day is a great game in that respect.
I have four smelters and those are more than enough for me. Finding all the shovels, dynamite and TNT for them is hard work! Don't sell the bars or jewelry in your stall as the truck will give you vouchers, needed for fishing and other goodies.
Try not to worry about rushing through all the levels so fast, and just enjoy each new machine or area that you open. I've spent WAY too much coin on my Gazanias but I love them and wouldn't exchange them for anything. I can spend hours just rearranging my garden :-)
BTW, when you reach those higher levels, you will have more money than you need, unless you are going for the tractor or those gaudy gold statues!

The tip about the popcorn and bread is something I just discovered for myself this week.
I was amazed at how much money I could make selling those items. Plus, I wasn't running those machines as often so why not put them to work for me, right?
I also decided to only sell 5 of each produce item. I did that because I knew for myself I didn't always want to buy 10 of something so I figured other people didn't either.
The best selling items of course are expansion materials :rolleyes:
and the new hot selling items for now are Bacon&eggs, i'm soooo sure you can sell B&E at full price and they'll be gone in ten minutes :eek:
