Stuck on the "Connecting..." screen while on 4g. WIFI works.

Hello -

I just downloaded this game last night and I love it. I noticed immediately I could not connect to the game while on 4g. As soon as I switched to WIFI it got past the connection screen with no problems. I do not always have WIFI available to play so I am hoping to get this resolved.

Here are the troubleshooting steps I took so far:

Verified port 9339 is working while on 4g.
Deleted local app data for HayDay and tried again.

Would anybody be able to help me troubleshoot this problem further?

I don't know if this will help, but I am on Amazon Fire Phone and most up to date OS which is base on Andriod OS.

my daughter sometimes has issues on her farm (Iphone 4) We have to reset the network connections to get her bak up and running.

Thanks for the suggestion. If I understand correctly, I went into my phone 4g settings area and set APN back to default (essentially breaking my internet connection).

I then set it back to Straight Talk (my provider) and the 4g connection came back.

I then opened Hayday but still no luck.

Not sure if it's a coincidence, but one member of our hood is also experiencing the same problem. Stuck on the connecting screen. And a friend in another hood is having the same issue, not able to connect. I guess there goes our derby this week:(

Update. My friend deleted hay day and downloaded it again. But he had to do it 3 times before it worked.

If you are on android and have Facebook. Delete Facebook. Open your game and reload Facebook. For some reason this worked on my android farm. I wrote to support for days and they were no help at all!!! The usual cut and paste response to most every issue. I just tried doing this Facebook removal and it worked. I haven't had any problems since.

Thanks so much for the two suggestions. I will try both and let you know if either worked. My wife is into the game now too so we will try to fix hers as well.

We are both level 15 after two days and are hoping to join a friendly neighboor soon.

Someone in my NH made a good point. It might be the 4G provider more so than the App.

Now begins my problem... My 4G provider (Straight Talk) will probably blame the App. The App will probably blame Straight Talk. Amazon Fire Phone support will probably blame both.

The endless loop of tech support. I will reach out to Straight Talk and Amazon for help. I am unsure how to get help from Hay Day / Super Cell other than post here.

I fixed it!

I set up my phone to be a mobile hotspot and then used my wife's phone to connect to my hotspot (using wifi).

Hay Day would still not connect on her phone.

This showed me that even though she was on WIFI it was still blocked because the source of the WIFI was getting internet from 4G (Straigh Talk Wireless).

This proved to me that Straight Talk Wireless was the reason Hay Day could not connect and they were blocking it.

I immediatley downloaded a VPN app and set Hay Day to always use VPN.

I can now run Hay Day from 4G.

Solution: Use a VPN app.

I too have Straight Talk. What app did you use and did you have to alter the Straight Talk VPN or do anything special to keep from messing up any of the ST settings?
