When I try to purchase gems it says the item is unavailable. I have purchased gems in the past with no issues and have verified that there are no current issues with my iTunes or payment card attached.

I received a response from the in game help, but it was the standard "Make sure your iTunes is set correctly and contact them" response. Obviously the message we are getting is not the same as the "contact ITunes" message that comes up when the problem is on the players side.
The message is saying they are temporarily unavailable.

Other people in my clan are still able to buy gems so it's something that is affecting only some players. Hopefully it gets big enough that they notice us soon and stop with the stock responses.
I just tried again...with no changes on my side...and I was able to purchase gems.
The same problem here. Still not working.
Still unable to buy gems. I successfully bought something on itunes in the meantime so i know problem is not on my side.

Hi all, I have the same problem. I cannot buy gems for the moment. Item unavailable .. never had this before, it started yesterday. I hope they can fix this soon, need to gem my queen for war ... greetings.

Yep same problem here. iTunes say it is super cells issue as my iTunes account is perfect. Sent a message to supercell hours and hours ago with no reply.

I received a response from the in game support after I was able to buy gems. They said that sometimes iTunes gets overwhelmed with requests from their server and that it cannot process all of the purchase requests and that eventually it will sync back up.
I don't know if that is what is happening here but I was able to purchase gems after awhile. The only thing I can recommend is to keep trying until it goes thru.
