How can you say this is fair
Before up date you could use a hero so no cost to earn loot bonus & keep doing this until you find anther snipe because no cooking time for troops ppl you raided got free shield you got loot every one happy. Now after update you have to use best troops to win raids with two stars & get enough percentage for max loot bonus then wait to cook troops to raid again. You have taken away form us a way we could get lots of loot & cups & give us a shield that we can hide behind and get a few raids behind.
I just use Giants an wizards

You might also try some other attack combos that work better for certain type of loot. I switch to air attacks to build dark elixir. And use golem usually only 4 being effective enough to build elixir up without losing DE. Ash posted some examples with giants that also worked pretty well for me against maxed TH10 and one thing helped is skipping multi inferno for a single target inferno.
Giants around twenty, 15 wizards, few wall breakers mix of archer barb an gobs in rest, few spells. Then I pray. Still not cheap, but golems are costly beasts. Normally does job around 22-2300.
Just Admit You Made a Mistake
You guys screwed up a great game by adding a bunch of convoluted stuff that even YouTube fanboys can't explain -- Shields, PBT -- in order to solve problems that didn't exist. Every time I do a search, one third ofthe people aren't in a league. Why? They quit!
Now, you are adding even more strange items to the game such as The Treasury and the Loot Cart. It just makes it more confusing.
Why not just admit you made a mistake and revert back to what was GREAT?? We'll forgive and forget.
If you guys at ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are bored here is a task for you: Figure out how to keep people from running mods in wars.
And in the future, there is a saying we have in the States worth considering: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

As mentioned in our latest posts, we’re currently working on an update that we intend to roll out as soon as possible. In the meantime here is a preview of what’s coming:
Introducing the new Star Bonus! Win five stars in Multiplayer attacks in order to win a daily resource bonus!
Housed in your Clan Castle, the Treasury is the safest place to store resources. Your daily Star Bonus and War Loot Bonus are automatically stored in the Treasury for safeguarding and only a very small percentage can be stolen.
Last but not least, we’ll introduce the Loot Cart. After your village has been attacked, a percentage of the stolen resources will be added to a Loot Cart in your Village. Once you collect the resources from the Loot Cart, these will be transferred to your Treasury for safeguarding.
Besides these new features, the update will also include a few bug fixes and battle balancing tweaks.
We’ll provide more details soon, stay tuned, and let us know what you think!

This still wont change much in my eyes
SC should be super careful with what they are trying to do cause if the people that havent stopped playing already wont stop too! The one stars has gone over 300,000 in one month! It took 3 and a half years to have 700,000 one stars! NOT LOOKING SO GOOD
Nail... Head.... You hit it

I am astonished at your newly proposed 'improvements'. It sounds like a long list of poor fixes to solve a problem that should not be there in the first place.
Your changes were very successful... You now need pretty strong armies to win battles and you have a limited window to do them... So, if you want to make enough progress a player has to use gems. And he has to play. A lot.
What you failed to realise, or do not want to understand is that a vast majority of players, who do not pay for gems and use little gems, do not want to play several hours every day. And then they do not use the game, they do not want to feel worried or know they are actually going backwards...
Exposed TH was the answer to this normal human emotion. Players could choose if they wanted to attack or not, play it safe, play it slow and if they wanted to accelerate their progression, then they would buy gems.
You have made the decision for them and if they do not play they go backwards. My little son, who is 10, used to love your game. But he mainly (used to) play at weekends. Now he looses too much loot during the week to make it fun.
So you have looked us with resources thanks to the 1-gem boost. Great, loads of great targets. But the game still remains for hard core players only.
So you are now proposing to secure some of daily bonus... Great, another incentive to play more.... How do you do so with a limited time window ? Ah, you have to use gems....
So you are now offering to secure some of the loot and gave some of the stolen loot back (what ?? The game looses track with realism...). That will only reduce available loot gained during attacks. So in the end it will be break even.
If you want to answer the criticism, you have to offer the possibility to player to chose at what rate they progress: slow if they do not buy gems. Fast is they purchase gems. But you cannot hit them and kick them out if they do not give you money... You will be left with a very peculiar player base with no mass players to do all your marketing and attract more players. You are suffocating yourself very quickly...
How many times will you have to be told and I am sure you can see it from your server tests. Players are moving away. Wait too long and they will not come back. 90% of my clan is all gone. All the kids and teenagers are gone.
Is that really what you want ?
Many good points here. What the December update and the proposed tweaks leave in the cold is affording players the choice of how they wish to play. Choice..... That's what made this game so successful over the last 3 or so years. Hardcore, whales, semi-casual, casual, war, and every player type in between. We could all play the game at our own pace, and indeed change that pace when we wanted. You wished to speed things up, you gemmed barracks for boosted raiding... Gemmed upgrade build times, gemmed resources. I've done a lot of gemming over the last three years.... More than most, less than some... But it was always my choice. The December update has really made the range of choice of game play very limited. It feels like if you want to progress, you have to buy and use gems. Whether you are a casual or a more active player u are compelled to use gems.
The proposed loot vault and loot cart system may also not be as great as it sounds on paper... Especially to the casual player who if they have decent loot in their storages will get rolled again and again...bleeding to death from a thousand cuts. But wait says supercell.... You will have the loot cart and cc loot storage....picture this though.... how can a casual player accumulate and keep enough loot to upgrade a wizard tower to lv9 (th11)? Only if the combined total amount of loot that can be saved in the loot cart and clan castle approaches the 8.56million gold needed (obviously using some loot in normal storages). My maxed lv6 clan castle only holds 2.6million gold..... Get the picture? Somehow I doubt SC will allow the total capacity of these loot retention systems to facilitate such loot numbers for major upgrades.
I can and have played as the game was intended to be played up until the ability of my "weak" hero levels on my th10 account. Champs 1 achieved - after the update.... So no th sniping. Was it enjoyable? Nope. Did I accumulate large amounts of loot? Nope. Did I improve my war army attacking skills, yes.... But that is what clan wars are for. At least it was. Like a lot of people, I hate feeling pressured into playing a game in a certain way - especially after playing with th snipe for 3 years. Th snipe was a pseudo form of loot vault... But it was not foolproof. Sometimes you were found by someone with a strong enough army and they would take the lot... Regardless of an exposed th. It was luck of the draw.
i honestly hope that I am wrong about my misgivings for the mentioned tweaks with the loot cart etc. unless the casual players of this game are catered for.... This game is doomed... If the casual players move en-mass to other games... All that will be left are the active sharks... Feeding off each other.... What fun!
As the great BB King once sung.... The thrill is gone baby!
Seems like everybody is thinking about the same thing
I get it SC would rather let clash die than give back a TH shield, so moving on from that.
There have been more dead accounts added back in, my barcher people are starting to show more replays. Too bad you can't announce when you do that kind of stuff would help with some of the more angry people.
Two points I see being brought up alot
you better be able to hide a vast sum (not like the vault nonsense in that game I quit playing awhile back cuz it was lame..oh yeah boom beach) if you can't hide enough that it makes it most of the way before you become a high value target. The problem with this complicated fix is that amount differs per player so only fraction will get the full use of this unless it is vast...substantial...far larger than SC will probably make it consider what a pittance they give for league loot bonuses.
And that hat brings me to point 2. Now that the TH snipe is killed there is no reason league loot bonuses shouldn't be given a major overhaul. Like double increased...if you want to test this out do a promo for a few weeks or a month where league bonuses are doubled crystal and up. "Who's got what it takes to be awesome" and collect data. You will see it wont break your game and will give us folks something tactile that will be helping us
i mean when everything costs millions to upgrade what's another few hundred thousand (showing my true colors. I've never end bothered even looking to see how much I get in the leagues. They've always been a joke to me I raid where the loot is and that used to be in gold/silver being a TH 8&9. Now that I'm 10 (new 10 update has been rough) I don't really raid too much. New rules are bad. I stay loot poor and war. Trophy droppers moved me to masters. Well and defenses ;)
What is the ETA on this update?
What is the ETA on this update?
An congrats on the update, loving no more th snipes, and the vg and can raid during shield is absolutely genius. Keep the good work, and before they say Im trolling, no, i have 2billion gg and ee, and never used barch or put my th out ever, this is the way we should have play clash always
What we think doesn't matter anyway 😐

Very True... Too bad SC has their own agenda and doesn't want to listen...

Perfect Quote to describe SuperCell lately:
"There is no worse blind man than the one who doesn't want to see. There is no worse deaf man than the want who doesn't want to hear. And there is no worse madman than the one who doesn't want to understand."
SC: I hope you don't realize TOO LATE, this business move was a BIG mistake...
Let me give another real game scenario, My hill to level 3 infernos
TH10
AQ 22
BK 25
Infernos/xbow levels 2/3
Walls mostly about half 10 half 9
Ive posted several times in this thread hoping to give SC an idea of the game they have created post Dec update and how meaningless I believe this upcoming update will be.
So for about a week now ive been trying to save to upgrade my first inferno to 3. Ive reached a point where I feel it is no longer possible to save any further as my lost loot is out weighing my gained loot. For the last 2 days I have been unable to pass 6.4 mil gold. I will get there and then get steam rolled by some maxed out TH11 and lose 450k of it bringing me back down to 6mil. Then I will attack again once or twice during my shield period and get it back around 6.4 and then lose my shield and get steam rolled again bringing me back to 6mil.
Now, I am a working professional with a life to manage so dropping everything every 2 1/2 hours when my army is ready and being johnny on the spot to try and squeeze out as many attacks as I can before losing my shield is not practical or realistic. This is the game you have created Supercell. It is unappealing to those of us not willing to make it our life. Sure if I was a youtube blogger pushing for new trophy records, exhibiting your game and being sponsored to pay for costs of living then the changes you made in December would not bother me. But I am not. I wake in the morning, make breakfast, go to work, drive in rush hour traffic home, make dinner, settle my home down for the evening and somewhere in that mix I play a little Clash.
Now let's talk about my investment in your company. It similar to the investment of the majority of player you have or had pre December. A few gem purchases here and there, perhaps using an itunes gift card from a holiday. The 1% your new gameplay style appeals to, the youtube bloggers, the Ive got to have the latest and greatest upgrades NOW players are your minority group who's overall financial contribution while individually high, is far out weighed by the collective casual majorities financial contribution.
It is clear your game is in an economic crisis as a result of your December update changes. If I was a betting man, I would bet you have lost a significant number of casual players. You have on several occassions since the update extended your 1 gem boosts in an effort to boost gem sales that have been lost as your player base shrinks. You are now attempting to apply what is essentially a hotfix for an ingame economic crisis. You will not achieve your expected results because of situations like mine, which are representative of the majority. My fiance has stopped playing all together as her newly upgraded TH9 has been thrown into Masters League where she gets steam rolled and is unable to gather loot that out weighs what she loses every 12 hours. This is what is happening to your majority player base, the ones who arent interested in pushing 5500 trophies, the ones who want to casually play the game. And most importantly, the ones that create the economy in the game.
Sincerely,
James
Still not sure what the problem is.
TH9
AQ6
BK5
Me and a few of my friends have a clan, we play when we can (playing for about a year now). I'm a TH9 they are a TH8 and we don't seem to have any issues gathering loot. It does help we have the 1 gem boost right now.
Every time I get hit I get wiped for roughly 350K of each gold/elixir and loose about 2k in dark, which sucks but I get a 16hr shield and then I usually in that 16 hours can get 3 to 4 raids in (I'm adult with kids with a job and 30 minutes in 16 hours is not hard to do). With being in master league 1. I typically get the max bonus and obviously the loot I steal and I have plenty of loot to upgrade defenses.
With that said I'm not at TH10 or 11 so I can imagine the upgrades up there are quite pricey and could see the issues some are complaining about but down here in TH8 and 9 life is just fine since the update, because the shield goes down in increments my little clan is making more loot now than ever before.
I welcome the changes that SC is giving us.
