As like with the last update im skeptical here. The last update brought new features and fixed a system that wasnt broken. Im not gonna jump on the bandwagon just yet. I know most of us here love this game and are anxious for any good news just so there is some hope that this game goes somewhat back to what it used to be. So i say we wait cautiously.
hopeful at least ideas sound good
Please change the shield trigger to % of troops deployed and not % of damage done!
My view on the proposed loot changes.
The new star bonus is to make up for the shortfall a casual player is now making under the new sliding loot bonus system. For example
Player A attacks three times and gets 2 stars (TH and 50%) with each attack.
Pre December update that is 3 full loot bonus of say 100k each so 300k in total
Post December update they only get 80% of loot bonus so say 85k each so 255k in total
So the star bonus will need to give player A at least 45k to put him back to where he was before the update!
So unless the star bonus is significant this is not an increase in the loot compared to before the update.
Loot cart - so when the raiding army leaves it drops some loot out of it's back pocket which you find later! Given they increased the loot that could be taken from you in the last update it may be the case that the loot cart returns the difference between what you use to lose before the update and what you now lose, so that you really only lose the same amount as you did before the update. The attacker does get a little extra and it will be interesting to see what the amount is.
Treasury - when they made the CC a "storage" target I guess their play testing did not assume people kept their war loot in the cc until needed. As a result of the change they suddenly discover people losing more loot so they are now ring fencing it.
It looks like to me they are reverting back to the old loot calculations but sugar coating it with brand new ideas.
Supercell are so fixated about the TH no longer giving a shield it seems any idea no matter how left field or complicated will be added to the game.
TLDR - New ideas are changing loot system back to what they were pre December update.
Thanks for reading.

How much of the clash community do you think is made up of the players who may only attack once a day? Or even go a day without attacking?
Id guess a lot of those players are still doing the same thing, or playing even less now. They cant progress.
Everyone else used to farm those bases periodically pre-update, and yet those casuals were still able to progress, and participate in some way, which is why the community was so large.
SC can incentivize as much as they want, but only the people interested in being much more active will play, and those players were here already. Making the bases and loot more difficult to obtain has meant that the casuals and the non-gamers who do not play often enough to figure out how to attack bases will need to build large war armies to raid. This will mean long wait times for armies, and most likely diminished returns on loot. Why would they stay in a GAME like that? I don't think they will stay.
IMO the real casual players are the most important part of the game, which made it the success it is right now. Without those hoards of players the rest of the people further up the food-chain would not survive.
I agree with this 100% and have stated similar sentiments in prior posts. I am doing ok under new system but I'm not so naïve to think that just because I am doing well everyone else must be doing something wrong.. Again what makes this game so great is the wide variety of players. Take this as an example. If you were trying to play basketball and you have only been learning the game for a couple months then someone shutdown the gym you used to go to for practice and forced you to play with nba pros and those pros kept telling you to stop whining and learn how to play the game, I would imagine things would get a bit frustrating to some constantly getting ball stolen or blocked, getting crossed up and generally feeling hopelessly useless on the court. These people are trying to vent some frustrations here and some are actually trying to offer suggestions to improve the game. In my example there will always be people who will accept nothing less then opening their old gym back up but there are also others that would like to move into the new future of the game as long as they feel able to improve (ie upgrade their village) to just say I'm Scrooge McDuck swimming in gold you must be doing it wrong is arrogant and doesn't help the community.
Yeah good stuff (maybe) what about the loot that we cant find?
