Have You Ever Done This?

You're dying to achieve the co-op and boat score hunter achievements and you're desperately looking for boats to fill. Then you came across a farm via the newspaper where the 3 crates flagged for help were wheat, eggs and corn. Easy peasy! Alas, you didn't have enough to fill so you bookmarked the farm and decided to come back later. But before that, buy everything off the person's shop so others would not have a chance to come in and steal your chance of helping the boat (since the ad gets pulled off immediately once the advertised item gets sold). Have you ever done this? I just did it today and i was my 1st time lol

I haven't done it yet, guess I am in early stage of playing to hunt all achievements. You sure helped that person, not only that you filled his/her crates but also bought all stuff at roadside store, it's good for both of you. But that ship wasn't that easy, it's actually tricky if you don't have space in barn and silo (a bit off topic).

i only followed those who sell their produtcs cheap, cheap enough for me to think it'll be a waste not to follow them, LOL ;)
and i always try to help my Last Helpers and Friends, and sometimes my Followers ;)
i only help those i found in DD if i have some extras of the items, if not then i won't try too hard to help ;)

it was really nice to hear from your perspective, and i really appreciate that! honestly i've never thought of it as helping that person, it was definitely more of helping myself. but yes you're right, it was a win-win situation so why not? ;) you're already level 30 something, its not that early! plus boat score hunter really. takes. a. long. time! lol

its hard to resist when the items flagged are so easy like wheat (only takes 2 mins to harvest) and gives 3 boat points. else i really wouldn't have bothered :p

agree :D
but, if that time i don't have enough wheat then i won't trade it for one of my followed farm to help it
that's because i already followed 5 farms and those 5 farms sell cheap ;)
and i also happen to have one follower who often need help to fill crate(s) for crops :rolleyes:

Wow, lucky you! I hardly ever come across crates asking for crops...the only ones I ever see from the newspaper are asking for brown sugar, goat cheese and all the other "tough" stuff. I shall keep looking and maybe follow your method!

Hey, helping others always pays off. What happened to me today while I was looking my friends that need help is that friend had two planks for sale and then I found tape in secret box at his farm. What could I do but help even that I had only three items he needed. What I meant there is always sort of reward for helpers.

Ha! Hopefully those planks weren't there for a trade. Lol. I'd have snatched them too, lol.

They were on stand for maximum price and they weren't in last box.
