What should I upgrade first? My barb king to level 2 or minions to level 2.
I'm leaning towards the barb king because I still need to upgrade other stuff in the lab.

I love minions, I'd pick them first.
But if your lab will be busy for a while with other important upgrades - then do he king.
Slowly but surely you'll notice his improvement as you develop him further.
If you use 5+ minions regularly in your army then upgrade them. If not upgrade your BK.
Im assuming you use minions a bunch or you would not ask about upgrading them. I have lvl 2 minions and there great so i would do minions, i have a lvl 3 king, but for 1 unit +6 dps and +60 hit points is not enough to make it worth it to do before minions.
Some people use the dark barracks as a "bank" to safe keep the DE while having full army camp, so it would be worth it to have high cost in minions? I think...
a level 2 minion only costs 1 extra DE to make per troop. The difference is basically negligible.Quote:

I'm really liking minions at the moment. I'm tearing up th7-9 with dragons with minions for backup. They can tank air defenses for dragons, they can take out those annoying archer towers, they can clean up the outside, etc. etc. etc.
However, I don't know if it's worth it for level 2, as they do fine as meat shields as level 1 but I don't want to pay 8 DE each.
I have level 5 minions and they're a huge improvement over my old level 1's (obviously) but any single upgrade to minions are much more noticeable than an upgrade to barbarian king, it all depends on if you use minions frequently or not though
