Wall lvl7 yes, 8 would be a must, but depend how much you value builder time.
You are hall 8 and want better troops? Really? Hall 8 troops are bloody awesome if you ask me.
It's probably better we see your base to know how much is left if you want us to answer better.
Otherwise we generally default to 'upgrade everything'.

I've been th9 for about 24 hours now, and it takes some effort to raid now. I didn't realize before how much you get from raiding th6's. At th9, th6's are taken away and you have to raid th7's or higher. Th7's are twice as hard for less than you would get from th6's when you were th8.
So, if you have the ability to stop raiding th6 and lower yet still make a profit, by all means go for it. My advice is try raiding th7 now (you will be stuck with th8 troops anyway for at least a week) and see if you can do it easily.
If you do decide to upgrade anyway, my advice is upgrade all your storages to max (6 mill each at th8) and then upgrade, but don't spend all your elixier immediately. Keep about 2 mil on hand to see the differences in raiding at th9.

As long as all except walls are maxed I'd say go for it!
Looking at my battle log, I'm making 400k on th8's. Th7's I'm getting about 200-250k. Not much profit on elixier though, maybe 30-100k.Quote:
