Choosing Global Servers! - Revolutionize Global Chat!
We should be able to choose a global to join. Like, how in some games you can choose a server to join(Runescape, Battlefield, ect.), except that it would be for your global chat instead. Right now, when you start up Clash of Clans, you get put into a random global chat. The chances of meeting someone you know is very small. It is possible, but very very rare.
My idea is that when you start up your game, you are put into a random global chat, but there would be a button allowing you to change it to a global/server of your choice. There would be a list of globals to choose from such as Global 1, Global 2, Global 3.........Global 78 etc. By clicking on the Global you would like to join, or searching for it if there are hundreds of globals(I don't know how many Globals there will be), you would be placed there if there is enough room.
There should be a limit of people in each global chat to prevent say thousands of players from being in Global 1. So next to the Global "Insert Number Here", there would be a limit of people in each room. 99/100, 39/100, etc. *Numbers are made up.
What's the point of this? You can talk to people from outside of your clan without leaving your clan. Wouldn't it be nice if we could talk to the one random person who was really nice that we met in global? You could just say meet me in Global 5 or something like that. It wouldn't be private chat because other people would still join the conversation.
Thoughts on this? Help keep this thread alive and not get buried by adding feedback!
I hope it gets stickied:D
If a mod could tell me their thoughts on this, it would be great.
Edit: Someone raised an interesting point

Perhaps in your gamecenter friend list, it could show what global they are in.
Although it would run into the same problem as the Online/Offline indicator(it would take a lot of bandwidth), there is a solution to that. A work around the online/offline indicator problem is to show the last time online. Maybe in your friend list, it would say "Insert User Here" was last in Global Chat #. Citing privacy issues, you could disable it or have an invisible setting.
Feel free to point out any potential flaws.
