BK LVL 5 or HOGS LVL 2?

What should I upgrade? Barbarian king to lvl 5 or hogs to lvl 2?

Really confused!

You unlock BK's ability at 5! Way more important and will be a big boost. I would assume you are TH8 so you really shouldn't be using dark troops very often if you can help it because DE is so hard to come by.

Hogs come after. They don't become really useful until lvl 3. (Ok you can VERY carefully use them to snipe defence at 2 if there's a max giant nearby tanking but.. There are usually better strategic choices)

Another vote for the BK Fist.

Why would you assume he is TH8?

I assume he's TH7 as DE isn't that hard to come by. My daughter has a TH7 going to TH8 right now. Her lab is dark because Minions & Hogs are 2 and BK is 5. She's got 16K DE in her storage right now and runs 8-10 hogs with raiding just for fun.

Do get hogs to 2, as grinding 3 levels of hogs at TH8 is not fun (first-hand experience)

DE isn't hard to come by for a TH7, and hogs work best at TH8+.

BK all day to 5 for iron fist, but get those hogs up when you can. One of my clan members is making mad mad loot in silver with a hog-goblin combo.
