Clan war matchmaking is simply broken. My clan's last 15v15 war we got matched up with a clan with 3 th11s, 7 th10s, and 5 th9s
Our clans consists of 3 th11, 11 th10s and 1th9.5
Needless to say we had the advantage and got a perfect war lol
Possible for you to win, just make sure your top 3 are hard bases and 3 star everyone except 1 don't waste time on him....but either way...this match-up is ♥♥♥♥...
I usually tend to think this is most probably because opponent's village are rushed or villages are the bottom are weak to compensate, but I do confirm that since the TH11 update, it has been a nightmare. We have 3 TH11 and are usually matched with clans having 5 or 6 TH11 (all maxed TH10 + eagle + warden). Globally this means if we ever fail one of them, no chance we can recover because our TH10 have far too low heroes to get a 2* from those guys. On the oppositive, they can easily fail and recover, or if they don't fail, they have a lot of easy TH11 attacks on our TH10.
There is really something wrong with matching since the update. It's simply getting boring to war with those conditions.

What keeps being missed here is that even a rushed TH10 or TH11 introduces a quantity of defenses that is nearly impossible to overcome for lower townhalls, especially when it comes to THs two below or more. Infernos are a significant defense bump at TH10; even TH9 maxed troops are generally ineffective against them. And if a TH11 is rushed, but has all the defensive structures plus they are all TH8 equivalent levels, even TH11 max troops have a challenge. It's all about how many defenses are there more so than quality. And yes, I get that a strong attacker can work through all of this to typically two star bases one level above, but that's not going to be the average clan and these mismatches are the norm now.
I personally don't see what's so wrong about this match up. It's a 25v25 , outside the ONE th10 everything else looks pretty even , same number of th8 yall even have a couple extra th7 on them . I have seen way worse before ....
It seems pretty much commonly accepted here that matchmaking is done based on cumulative clan strength based on some equation that assigns values to defenses and their levels...
What this doesn't take into consideration is the value of higher upper end players vs lower end players. We all know that war wins are now determined by how many stars are obtained on TH10 (and now TH11) bases. A TH11 advantage is now a huge advantage.
4 of our last 5 wars, our mixed level clan that stops at TH10 has been matched against clans with at least 1 or 2 TH11. The war we are currently in, our top 2 TH10 got steamrolled by a TH11 with lvl 6 warden and lvl 40 AQ/BK. The TH11 advantage is huge. It's truly a game breaker for the other clan.
Also it seems like the values they are assigning to Warden and Eagle Artillery might be low. Getting rid of the TH11 advantage should be as simple as increasing these values.
The truly tragic part of all of this is that there are a lot of Chiefs out there that never learned how to properly 2 star another TH10, and now they've moved up to TH11 and are crushing TH10 bases....

Your are right war weight values for GW and EA are really low.
