Whether you like the update or not, the simple fact is that less loot is available for everybody and everybody has to work harder to gain and keep loot to progress
So why would anyone prefer that?
if people prefer the hard grind then shouldn't there be a higher difficulty setting that people could select - the 'true chief' option for example.

I get too much loot. Started hayday because my storages were full. So I guess I'm like the whiners in that the update made me play less. :p
Thats ok if you want to play more - but playing more to be in the same position as you would have been doesn't seem great to me. Prior to the update if you played more you would have got more loot.Quote:

I'm level 108 low to mid th10 and am finding generally 250k-450k every attack. Yes I use large army's but that suits me just fine as I only can attack a few times a day. I only have to search 1-5 bases generally and am I'm crystal 3-2. I like the new update more loot for large raids.

What those things did for their respective leagues is to make great raids in between raids. You went looking for a base to hit, and sometimes you found that sweet snipe/collector/dead base. Without that raiding feels a lot more grindy.

I have honestly never been to titans and never will, the farthest I've ever even made it is 2528 high. Now I know your thinking "git gud n00b", However that is not an option. I refused to play 8 plus hours a day making a measly profit to update one defense a week. Progression for casual players is not even fathomable at this point.
So yes while you are fine collecting those huge league bonuses up in Titans (When you can find bases, because they didn't fix clouding either), just remember the people down who are in Crystal using the same army comp to net next to nothing for profit.
I dont think anyone is skipping with joy over the update but most educated people realise there will be no massive rollback and this is the new normal barring a few tweaks. And that certainly wont include a difficulty setting lol.Quote:

Attack 3-5 times a day yieled over 840,000-1,400,000 g/e just from loot bonus.
You can attack through a shield of 12h + 2h guard. That's 3 +1 attacks in that period of time.
No need to next, attack the first or second base you see and walla big loot bonuses.

Because its a lot easier to save up loot. You can attack much more often before you get attacked.
I'm loving the update because it makes upgrading defenses a futile chore because you'll never stop attacks and attract stronger attackers
Luckily I'm doing defenses now just to prevent overflowing gold and idle builders
Loot issues? None at all, farming using a 16min army with minimal spells as a th11 in crystal 1
Defending? I rarely lose enough to require 2 raids to make it back, one is usually plenty. Need to lose at least 360k each to force me to use 2 raids
Pbt? Eh, I'malways smashed, no issues. Never gotten milked ssince I'm high enough league
I think people who complain are mostly those who cannot stomach the idea that their beautiful, hard earned defensive structures are proving themselves a waste of time and gold

I was a lazy push farmer.
What that means was previous to the update I would log in raid, log off and hope for a shield, log in and raid. I was using moderate-strong armies to hit for high loot totals.
Now I am not saying I was competitive to a dead base farmer but I enjoyed the challenge
Update came and sure I have to defend myself now but I can attack 2-3 before my shield dries up. I am finding good loot in Champs and because of the changes to pushing I was able to farm up to Champs I - and since I am capable of getting 70% even with a Th10 army on a Th11 base - I get more loot.
Thus I am happy.
I am not discrediting people who are unhappy, but their are reasons why their are people who are pro-update
The bases I see now have much more loot than pre-update. Much more.
I am getting loot faster now than before. With the boosted collectors I am filling up my storages extremely fast.
People both love and hate the update because of these magical things called differing opinions. I personally am pro-update, as I believe the mechanic changes are for the better (as soon as the economy gets fixed, which they are working on).

Nothing is ever 100% good, nor is anything 100% awful.
The new PBT is a better system than it used to be, especially when it comes to war.
The new shield system, while it had good intentions, had some unpleasant side effects, which SC is working on. I personally like that the building that should have been most important from day 1 now is.
TH11 is an added bonus for high-level players, especially the GW.
I do think that league bonuses could use some more increase (to actually make it significant lol). My thought is making the new 80% bonus equal to the full bonus pre-update. This makes anything beyond 50% an added bonus to what we had already gotten.
I think the changes are for the better. It's simply that they get overshadowed by loot issues, which they really should be.Quote:

I was doing that too.. Then I realized gibarch in crystal-champ is much better loot. Sure, I attack once every 45 mins instead of once every 20, but I can penetrate the base, steal 350k/350k/4k loot plus I get a decent loot bonus on top of it. I was on the "loot sucks" bandwagon until I moved up. If you want cups then GoWiPe (and/or similar) would be better. For farming or obtaining resources, not so much.

Ever heard the saying "Work smarter and not harder"? The people that like the update are playing smarter than most folk that don't like the update because they know that they're doing a lot better than the average folk are doing regardless of the increase in difficulty to obtain/retain loot.
LOL.. I just mentioned that myself but on the opposite spectrum. Training GoWiPe Armies is not working smarter or more efficient. It's like saying I can get 10 people to push a boulder (working Harder) instead of using a pulley system to move it (smarter/efficient). You advocate the opposite.Quote:
