Why is anyone happy with the update

I pretty much agree - most of the changes were good as I said earlier but without loot it is so difficult to upgrade to get the new toys!

All the previous updates have been pretty good in my opinion.

I think trying to change so much in one update was probably a good idea in theory but not in practice.

I appreciate the game has to evolve - but going from fish to man in one day......

You know why? Cuz I'm progressing in the same way, with a similar or possibly even better loot ratio in the game than before this update.

I just had a 640k gold and 440k elixir raid with my th8 with gibarch, Absolutely no need to change army into such heavy war armies. But, I must say, I almost felt asleep while nexting......, yawn. most boring game on my tablet currently, even hayday is more exciting, go figure!

if people prefer the hard grind then shouldn't there be a higher difficulty setting that people could select - the 'true chief' option for example.

For good attackers in the right league there is much more loot available than before. This is the reason I like it. And no I am not talking about GoWiPe in champion, but simpky being more efficient than others.

Loot issues? I'm nearly 80% max TH11 already so I don't think loot is the issue here at least for me.

Mine and other Titan1+ players issue is clouds lol

Are clouds same or worse than before - my highest league was champion so never hit the rarefied atmosphere of Titan.
