Coc move from ipod touch 4g ios6.1.6 to ipad air

Hi,
my daughter got a new ipad air and wants to move her coc from her old ipod touch 4g (ios 6.1.6) via gamecenter to her new ipad.
both devices are connected to gamecenter using the same id.
Once she starts coc on the ipod, she see the gamecenter welcome message but as she starts the migration it says she's not connected to gamecenter and she should connect to gamecenter in order to sync towards gamecenter.
than the gamecenter app with it's login screen appears, she logged in and nothing happened.
coc is not syncing to gamecenter and so we could not move the acc towards the ipad.

in the meantime she accidentally creates a new coc town on the new ipad and that score will be synchronized towards the gamecenter. This score is also viewable on the ipod gamecenter app.
we deleted this score from the gamecenter but the old score from the ipod would not be uploaded to gamecenter instead.
unfortunately the dock-connector on the old ipod is demaged so only battery load is possible, no pc sync or itunes interaction is possible.
the ipod is only able to communicate via wlan.

any clue?

On both devices, go to "Link a device" on settings. You can transfer one account to another device and so on. I use it when issues like these occurs. GL and PM me if any issues.

I know how to transfer but this did not work. Please Read my post carefully.
coc on thold ipod mentioned that it is not connected to gamecenter, even it the gamecenter welcome message comes up right after coc was startet.
if i proceed from coc, opening the gamecenter, i'm already logged in. Re-login makes no changes.) but however coc did not notice that.
