View of Update from a player with 8 accounts at varying TH levels, decision? WAR ONLY

First I will start with why I have 8 accounts. I enjoy the building aspect of the game. Once I get to a certain level this building slows a bit I have started new accounts. Another person in my clan did the same but became overwhelmed and abandoned two accounts which I took over. These accounts have a TH3, TH5, TH7, three TH8's in various levels of upgrade, TH9 and my main account a TH11. Here is my experience thus far with each since the update.

TH11 - I am keeping this account in silver league and am finding a ton of loot and only get attacked by trophy droppers like myself, this account loves the update, especially in clan wars!!! Bought 10 days of shields for the boost time limit and was able to upgrade a ton!!

TH9 - this account hit TH9 after maxing TH8 just before the update. Gets hit for mega loot no matter what league it resides in and can make no gains...this poor guy will not experience any upgrades in the foreseeable future.

TH8's - all are experiencing the same..mega losses will not experience upgrades due to the loss.

TH7 - Not too bad, still seeing big loss, but raids are gaining nice loot and since upgrades at this level are not super expensive should make it to TH8 in a few months.

TH5 - Very easy to stay in the upgrade loop with lots of profit, again, this is due to the low cost of upgrades.

TH3 - Come on....this little guy gets attacked by noobs and loses nothing, easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Current status is that my TH8's and TH9 are only going to be used for war and will not raid or upgrade any longer.
TH7 will work to max and will stay there and be used for war only as well. Obviously, I will continue working the TH5 and TH3 until the also reach TH7.

The TH11 will slowly continue upgrades and will be receiving most of my attention now since the game has been killed for the 8's 9's and 10's.

This is exactly what the TH8's, 9's and 10's are experiencing in my clan (only four of my accounts are in a clan.) They are all giving up and are extremely upset with Supercell. War is all we have now and ensuring that we have enough loot to build troops for war is what we are living for. Luckily collectors can keep up with that task.

So, that being said, how does this generate revenue for Supercell. Obviously, I did purchase some gems to get to TH11, but if all of the TH8-10's HAVE to purchase gems to upgrade and make the decision to play Clash only for war, Supercell loses.

War only...no upgrades! I know, this sucks.... I keep "hearing" that there is a fix coming. Can anyone provide an article detailing this?

Stinkey, Great detail! I hope SuperCell takes the time to read your valuable input. Customers like you are the heart and soul of the play. What you say matters and I too am interested in this "fix". We're hoping for a good one!

strange that you are having such a hard time with your th8s and 9.

I have a th9 and 2 th8s and all have been making insane loot. Both my th8s have all 5 builders going and i'm grinding walls better after the update with my th9.

With my Th11, absolutely!!! Loving it. The rest are dormant except for war.

My TH11 has defended to champ 1... every person who attacks me can easily steamroll my base for 50% and/or the TH and most of my resources... of course, it's other TH11s using 4-6 golem and mass witch strats mostly... nothing I can do to defend against this. The best base layout so far that's gotten me defensive wins is the old squid-shaped side teaser base I used back in the day as a TH10..

My two defensively-maxed TH10 accounts also are in champ (again, all from defenses), and now they get slaughtered. I even had one of them get _3 starred_ by GIBARCH whilst using the Titanium base layout. Yeah, not using that base again.

My attempts to attack as a TH11? I have to use an expensive 400k elixir and/or 4k DE army at least to even get 50% and decent resources from the only bases available to me. When I use GIBARCH, I always fizzle and lose the attack AND I don't even get good resources.

Seems I should drop to silver on everyone and try to stay down there (Hard to do with all the trophy droppers that pushed me up to start with!).

I second all you have written above. I have found a way to make some profit on my TH9 but progress is too slow, the gae has become boring.

I have 7 accounts in my household (not all mine)
1 TH9 (my account)
3 TH8 (one is mine)
1 TH7
1 TH6
1 TH5 (mine)

The only thing I enjoy with my TH9 nowadays is visiting noob clans and donating them maxed TH9 troops and see their happy replies. I play my TH5 mostly now, TH8 can´t remember how many days ago I bothered looking at it, but remember when I did look at it, it had not been attacked for 21 days as SC clearly hides dead bases out of search.

I had come to the same decision as you.

My Th8 is just attacked every single time my shield goes off by th9 - 10 (in crystal 1)..Can't upgrade anything...i'm forced to use goho to attack..can't progress and i'll quit soon

My Th10 is fine in Master

My th7(maxed th6) is fine in silver 1 (for the moment)

With regards to TH9, this i believe is the games ultimate grind. It is the TH level where upgrades really start to get expensive. There are more elixer upgrades at this level than any of the other levels between the troops, spells, dark barracks, DE drills, camp, spell factories, etc. This is the start of the TH9 problems. When you manage to knock out all the elixer upgrades it becomes a breeze right? Wrong!

Hero grind plus 2 levels of walls will test your mettle and if you mange to max TH9 you are probably pretty burnt out by the time you get there. 30 AQ levels, another 20 BK levels. 1 billion resources spent on walls. 1 BILLION...ON WALLS!!!!

In a way it acclimates you to TH10, if you survive the grind that is!
