Sitting on a shield for the first time in 3 years.

So I am sitting on a shield with 2 days left because I need 8 million of everything to upgrade my last few things on my TH10 and TH11 bases... Not prepared to battle and lose anything from my shield. Never even considered a shield before update. I have a strong Base but wasn't worth the constant defence for no reward until you got slaughtered because your clan castle was empty and traps where not rearmed and heroes where out of action. I LOVED THIS GAME.... I hope supercell listen and repair what they have broken... I spent money on this game as many others have not only on my own villages but also to boost troops to donate for war and other players Clan castles. I will wait for the outcome as far as how Supercell realises their mistakes and hopefully rights their wrong.

I feel your pain. Before the update, I'd break shields left and right. Now you have to hold on to shields for dear life (unless it's a rare time that you've used all of your loot on an upgrade... good luck reaching that point).
