I think people incorrectly conflate youtubers and SC employees. They are disconnected. Its a simbiotic relationship though based on the health of the game. the game does well, attracts new players, holds onto old ones (an important piece) and the youtubers might get more subs which gets more potential for income for the youtubers. But the youtubers I don't think have anything to gain from burying discontent of the clash community, it is the clash community that the youtubers really need. why would the clash community subscribe to a youtube channel for a game they no longer like? They don't get anything from the game tanking.

All I'll say is that Talk is Cheap, Hindsight is 20/20, and a pendulum's entire purpose is to swing both ways, over and over again.

I'm totally not referring to anyone in particular though!

He is trying to save his income base. Simple. Fewer subs, less income-- not to mention the ego hit for becomming a has-been. You assume it is about someone other than himself? Why?

Well, i did watch this video and at least i give him a pair of balls for saying one thing and then flip-flopping to the other end. I got back some of my respect but it clearly illustrate he is trying to cover himself from a hole he dug himself into.
