War has become a snooze fest at th9

So long and thanks for all the fish...

i'm a th9 that's just about wrapped up with lab upgrades. I have all lvl 9 walls and about 20 lvl 10 walls. My heroes are 15/17 respectively. After the update, I've been able to get loot up in champs using war comps but I have to pick up the iPad about once every two hours throughout the day to keep that up. This intrusion is getting to be a bit too much so I was planning on cutting back to war only and relying on collectors and maybe a single multi raid if needed to get loot for a war army.

the problem is that war has been reduced to a snooze fest for th9 with this update. I'm in a lvl 8 war clan and we aren't elite exactly, but we are pretty good. Lately we have been wiping all th9 opponents with attacks left over. This has become consistent. It's boring. The only answer I've seen from most people is...go to th10. For me though, that's another 4-6 months out due to needing to max my heroes and walls. Or I guess I could spend $300 for the privilege of playing 'balanced' wars. Rushing is never a choice for me and spending that much money on a video game is a terrible financial decision.

so I'm left with the choice of allowing this game to remain an instrusion in my life for another 6 months, or halting progress and settling for boring guaranteed wipe wars one after another. Lame. anyway supercell, thanks for the previous two years. I'm out in the next two weeks if an update or a major announcement from supercell isn't given.

best of luck to the remaining clashers, sad that this is the way it's ending for so many.

Almost in the same boat as you, and no idea what to do. 25/26 Heroes, 110 lvl10 walls, all lab upgrades except for Valks (no plans to upgrade). Clan will be getting to level 9 perks after this war, yet I'm more likely than ever to become a war-only player soon..

Don't see the point of grinding thru TH10 atm :/

Edit: this clan was always great with cleaning up all TH9 bases for 3*, but now we always have tons of attacks left over.. the excitement isn't the same.

Why not try try th 9.5?

Lol a game can only intrude as much as you let it.
I personally would rather attack once every hour or two than have to be on 2 hours strait doing attacks.

Sorry to see it coming to this for you but I can understand why. Game is in shambles. Bad balancing across the board, update issues/negativity, the abundancy of bunnies in war, botting, you name it. Every aspect of this game is becoming ruined.

Things have really gotten out of hand and SC just seems to remain clueless, or they simply do not care.

Still, for an addict like me there is no hope. Too much time/$$ invested to just quit sadly. I still enjoy the game at th11 but it's not the same. I'm finding less and less incentive to care.

Since new town halls 9 and 10 struggle so much at the moment, maybe try to stay in it as long as possible..If It's really boring then yes you should, but it will be tough.

Funny, we have NEVER had all of our 9's 3 starred.

Thats not a single time in our 196-36-6 record.

Seems like you are blowing this out of proportion.

If not feel free to try to organize a war with us, you will have a war where you don't 3 every th 9.

Bad clans are bad. Also depends on your average war matchup as well as overall th's/ base weight/strength.

Bottom line, any semi decent war clan will 3 all 9s (with their 9s). The remaining few that aren't are cleaned by 10s. Pretty standard.

The addition of an extra DE spell and 30 seconds to attacks makes 3'ing 9s even more easy offsetting the th9 war balance even further. There was a time when th9 was regarded as the best th in the game balance wise for war. Not anymore. Th9 is the new Th8.

If your 9s aren't getting 3D, your opponent isn't very good or you have been very lucky with your matchups. In our wars all our 9s are 3D and likewise we 3 theirs. Our lowest 9 in war is full max defensive, 20+ heroes and half lava so talking basically maxed/near maxed 9s as well across the board.

All th9s need to 3 consistently other 9s is half a brain, and 20+ heroes. With the right comp and proper strat any 9 can be 3D as a 9. Not talking the bad gowipe/wiwi clans out there that think that is a proper war strat either lol.
